My son recently moved near me in Oklahoma and he needed storage while sorting through things. My husband and I rented a storage unit for him. Due to a family emergency my husband paid the rent for May a week late, but thankfully kept the receipt. We received the new bill claiming we still owed for May and including a late fee. We drove down there to pay and move the last bit of stuff out. The owner was not there and the employee he spoke with was excessively rude! She stated, "we would need to speak to the owner" and when he asked for a receipt for the keys, she refused to give us one. When my husband called the number to speak to the owner, the owner was nice enough. Unfortunately, they felt no need to apologize for their employees behavior. Their employees represent their company, and refusing to give a receipt is highly unethical. I'm very disappointed in this behavior.
