I’ve had the opportunity to play Wolf Mountain on several occasions and typically drive about 90 miles to do so to “change up” the selection of courses that my group of friends play within a respective year. While the course has a decent layout and is reasonably priced for the area (less than $50 per person with cart), overall maintenance is unfortunately less than expected. To point, the fairways have typically been in poor shape on each of our group visits due to what appears to be limited access to water via the appropriate/necessary amount of irrigation lines. While the greens are serviceable (greens are composed of Bermuda and are firm), the fairways appear to have been somewhat of an afterthought with “inconsistent” breadth/ depth of material (and are characterized by many bare spots and/or very thin playing surfaces).Across the course, their are some waste areas that could be better groomed/maintained.In this area of Eastern Oklahoma, a course must not only have access to decently priced water but also be able to irrigate all sections of the course accordingly. Without decently priced water and “standard”irrigation practices following thereafter, ANY course in this area of Eastern Oklahoma is going to suffer pretty mightily.Cart paths were in “OK” shape but could use some work. The carts themselves looked/sounded a little rough, but worked as intended. While the clubhouse is very nice and has a new large back deck with impressive views of the surrounding area, the parking lot is gravel and, frankly, does not lead to a favorable first impression. Paving the parking area immediately surrounding the clubhouse should be a “sooner, rather than later” consideration to complete. The putting green is close to the clubhouse while the driving range is located just across the street. Both are within “normal” conditions and expectations. While I recognize that gaining access to decently priced water and then installing the appropriate irrigation lines and coverage are VERY expensive endeavors, I believe that this course must make every effort to ensure that this is an absolute priority. With enhanced irrigation alone being completed, this course could indeed be well on its way to being one of the “better” playing options in the immediate area. While I’ve attempted to be “fair” and “constructive” in my review, I believe that it’s important that a course know what the general public is thinking of their respective layout with the hope that “critical” items can subsequently be addressed by the course’s management. As a course manager, I’d much rather know what issues might need to be addressed rather than be “unaware” given the large investment that it takes to operate any golf course. On a very positive note, the personnel at this course are incredibly nice and personable. It’s also obvious that Wolf Mountain’s personnel want this course to indeed be a gem within the area.

The best country club around. It's getting a "facelift", so is looking better than ever. The views are fantastic! Love, love!

I liked the layout. Views are incredible. 30$ for 18 & a cart. Tee boxes were a little hard, and fairways were thin, but that's been an issue at a lot of places this year. Greens were nice and rolled true. The staff was very friendly. Will go back.

Awesome layout, great views. Only 4 stars because fairways and tee boxes need work. Greens were rolling true and were pretty quick. I will be back

Good golf course. Nice little clubhouse. The staff is quick to greet and help. Great view of the area from the deck. They have a decent amount of snacks in the clubhouse. The golf tournaments there are fun.

Always love coming to this Golf Course except the lady on the weekends seems to never smile and talks in a "I don't care" tone.

I was on a trip from California to visit friends. Stumbled upon this place to play a round. First impression was the views were very pretty. I was initially asked about not having a collared shirt which is usually not required at any golf course I have ever played in the past. Lady at the club house allowed me to play which was nice. Now to the course. This course has great potential but I am not sure they have a proper greens keeper. The conditions of this course were despicable. Fairways were over grown to the point it was very difficult to locate a ball if you were lucky enough to hit a fairway that’s another issue. Tee box locations were subpar and didn’t make much sense as the greens were very sandy but a few greens were in good shape. The overgrowth off weeds lining the fairway were in need of much TLC. This course must have been a gem in its prime but the course management is and I say this with constructive criticism easily the poorest track I have stepped foot on; Especially for a country club with steep prices in relation to rates in the area and even in California. One thing I found a bit frustrating was their was no drinking water to speak of. This is unacceptable playing 6 hours of golf and their is no concession cart or water for its patrons. The fairways were so tight I definitely donated my fair share of pro V balls. Only the back 5 holes actually had a layout with birdie opportunities and generous fairways. The course was still pleasurable to play but conditions were poor and management should fire their present greens keeper as the lack of course maintenance reflects on their reputation.I did play a course down the road from there which is a 9 hole that plays like an 18 hole and that course was absolutely phenomenal and considerably cheaper.SAVE YOUR MONEY GUYS!

Beautiful course. Poorly maintained. Greens manager could spend a little more time manicuring the course instead of riding around in golf cart trying to rub elbows with high end golf groups. DUDE, YOURE A GREENS KEEPER!!! take more pride in thed way your course looks to visiters. Have a beautiful canvas, paint an amazing picture from it. Then go big shot! ?
