On Oct 1st, there was a handful of the Vachon Log boxes on the shelf that were expired, so I brought them over to the bakery counter and told them they were expired (BB Sept 10th 2024). When I went back on Oct 8th, not only they were back on the shelf, but they had stocked up with many more boxed that were all expired since Sept 10th. They are intentionally putting expired product on the shelf! Please ALWAYS verify the BB date when shopping at Sobeys Ajax.

A very large Sobeys grocery store with a Wine shop inside near the exit. The store is very spacious, the aisles are wide.
Has all of the major areas a grocery store is supposed to have (produce, fruits, frozen, meats, pharmacy, etc). They also have flowers/plants, gift cards, and birthday/thank you cards section.
Came here to return a unopened medicine back to the pharmacy. Was a smooth return.
Overall, a pretty normal basic grocery store.

I visited Sobeys around 10 PM to purchase a cake and requested to have a message written on it. However, the worker at the bakery, who appeared to be of Indian descent, refused to do so (then continued to be on his cellphone). I was disappointed as this is a service I expected to be available. If there's a specific time limit for cake writing services, it would be helpful if Sobeys made this clear to customers. It’s frustrating to leave without getting what I needed, especially during a late-night visit.

Never had a bad experience. They sell out of my ice cream sometimes but I like a roasted chicken. They were open on August 1st long weekend

This sobeys ALWAYS charges the wrong prices. Also, the older white lady that sits in a chair in the middle of the self checkout at nights and refuses to assist or do anything but sit is the absolute worst person. Why are you paying this woman to do nothing except be totally useless and piss people off? Insane

Just went in to the store get a few things. The three male employees standing very near to the self checkout were using swear words while talking casually with each other. We had a small child with us. I looked over at them after their first F word. One of them looked over but didn’t seem to get the hint. What a disrespectful way to conduct oneself as an employee and especially around young people.

Good grocery store but hate how you have to scan and bag your own things if you go to shop in the evening as the registers are “closed” unless you’re paying with cash .. employees sitting on a chair while I do their job doesn’t make sense .. I originally gave 3 star but as I kept writing this post i than realized again how much I hate it ? loblaws for the win
