I could have spent an additional hour touring through The Hummingbird Gift Shop on my recent visit to the Akwasasne Reserve on Cornwall Island last week.My glorious cranberry sage candle is balm for my nasal passages, the exquisite indigenous puzzles, the selection of Native art greeting cards, lapel pins, my original native design scarf and potholders and tea towel... the healing colours of my beaded lanyard, the Indigenous earthenware..just everything in this Piece of Heaven (ooh and the smell of the leather & beaded moccasins) gave all my senses a fabulous workout. My Visa card was left smokin' when I put it back into my wallet. My prize take away was Julie Flett's children's board book titled Black Bear Red Fox ..a gift for our soon to be born 1st grandbaby in our family. They will learn their Plains Cree colours from a young age.Thank you Luz and Crew for such an amazing Treasure of items at your Hummingbird Gift Shop. It truly was worth the drive over the big bridge to arrive on Cornwall Island!!Saweyihta kosiwak aniki ka-atoskatahkik peyahtakeyimowin Amen
