We are so happy to live in Almonte and support this wonderful local bookstore. The selection of books, puzzles, and other items is amazing, and they always seem to have the latest books in stock—and if they don’t, will happily bring them in for you. The staff is equally wonderful. Being able to walk into a physical space to buy books is such a great experience over shopping online—especially with younger children—so it’s nice to be able to do this within Almonte, rather than travelling into the city. Highly recommended to both local and visiting readers!

Ann is more than just a connoisseur of good reads. She is an engaged community member of Almonte and the wider Canadian community. Mill Street Books has generously supported the local event, Reconciliation Through Art, at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, Sept. 30, 2024 - an event that answers many of the 94 Calls to Truth and Reconciliation. This events connected the predominantly non-Indigenous community with Indigenous Art, Music, Performance and Teachings. Many thanks to Ann and Sarah of Mill Street Books!!

Such a cute bookstore. Highly highly recommend... They also have puzzles, playing cards, notebooks, magnets etc. The staff also leaves the cutest notes on books. Super charming!

Amazing!
They always have what we are looking for, and in the rare situation when they don't, they order it in. Competitive and reasonable prices. Amazing selection for a small shop. Incredible staff that are friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and true book enthusiasts. This is my kids' favourite store in town, and no errand trip to Mill Street is complete without a visit to Mill Street Books.

It's a nice little bookstore with a diverse selection of books including a dedicated section for children. Have been here a few times when passing through and they always keep their stock fresh.

Love this place, quaint and cozy in varied selection. Going in here is a treat!! Pleasant and helpful staff. If they don't have what you are looking for they will almost always offer to check availability, and price on line. Will definitely be back a 100 times!
