I had a very frustrating experience with Best Buy’s Ancaster location. I recently purchased a TV from them, and at the front desk I noticed the employee assisting me with check out was very aggressive in handling the TV. I didn’t say anything at the time as I assumed he knew the threshold of force with which the product can be handled. Sure enough when I got home, the screen was cracked. I had to borrow a friends vehicle to pick this TV up as I don’t have one big enough. This vehicle wasn’t available to me when I brought the TV in for exchange which resulted in me having to rent a van in order to make the exchange. Furthermore, the staff was very unapologetic and didn’t seem to care about the situation they caused.

On November 29th, we bought an electric kettle from the store. According to the return policy, it cannot be returned or exchanged after 30 days. However, on the 32nd day, due to a manufacturing defect, it started leaking when heating. The online customer service was a robot and impossible to communicate with; the item we purchased was not among the options they provided. This is very unfair to customers buying small appliances. We lost the receipt, but we have the payment record.
The lack of a good way for customers to communicate about after-sales issues is irresponsible.

I visited the Geek Squad at the Hamilton Best Buy store in Ancaster on Jan. 3/26 with my laptop which had a few issues preventing me from signing in.
There were a few sites I needed some help with.
I had them on a list.
I was served right away by a young man,who started my computer right away with a USB key, which I could have done at home. I tried to tell him there were a few more issues I wanted to have checked but he seemed not to want to listen. he said you'reOK now, I fixed your problem. I said I haven't had a chance to show you my problem, but he walked away saying I fixed everything. Other people in line who were listening were shaking their head.
I have been a member of Bestway for a few years and have not used the Geek Squad for quite a while.
This visit was totally rude and unhelpful.

The product quality is outstanding—truly above expectations. Customer service was professional, friendly, and very helpful, and the store was clean and well-organized. I genuinely appreciate the high standards and continuous improvement. Keep up the great work!

UNHELPFUL AND VERY INCONSIDERATE PEOPLE I PLACED AN ORDER FOR PICK UP AND HAVE MY HUSBAND AS CONTACT PERSON SINCE I AM BREASTFEEDING AND DRIVING IS AN HOUR AWAY AND YET THEY NEED ME TO PICK UP!! ANNOYING I CAN PROVIDE AUTHORIZATION AND EVERYTHING AND THEY JUST SAID JUST CANCEL THE ORDER! I GUESS TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE MORE EFFICIENT

Technicians behind the counter are very uninformed of the policies and procedures. The staff member behind the counter wasted aprox 2+ hours of our time telling us to go to another location for a service that was not even offered in the first place.
When calling customer support, they refused to transfer us to the location to air our grievance.
From the ancaster location we were directed to the oakville location for a custom PC fix, Neither locations offer the service.
This wasted over 2+ hours of our time + 100kms+ of gas.
2-3 weeks later and no response from Ancaster location or support, message they respond with here is fake. Will not be going back to this location. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

This location has an advisor named Nathan and he made my visit to Best Buy very quick and fruitful. Not only did he provide outstanding customer service, he also managed to not make helping me feel forced. Real good dude who understands the human condition. Thanks, Nathan!

I went to purchase a small item and was paying in cash. The cashier did not recognize dimes, nickels and a quarters let alone add them up. Why do you have people at cash who cannot recognize cash money?

My husband and I recently went in to purchase a couple of Samsung television sets, and we had the pleasure of working with Michael. He was incredibly helpful—he walked us through different models and options, compared Samsung and Sony, and made sure we understood the best pricing available. He spent so much time with us, well past operating hours, and was genuinely informative and patient throughout the entire process.
At one point, I even asked if he would be receiving a commission because I didn’t want to buy our TVs anywhere else after the level of service he provided. I had been considering checking Costco, but Michael’s knowledge and dedication made us want to purchase directly through him. When he told us he wasn’t receiving commission, I was honestly shocked. Being in sales myself, I know the effort it takes to deliver service like that, and Michael absolutely deserved recognition.
I thanked him and let him know he is truly a great employee—you rarely find that kind of dedication anymore. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful salesperson, Michael is the person to talk to. He gets a full 5 stars from both me and my husband.
