Quetico Provincial Park is a beautiful and rugged wilderness park known for its fantastic scenery of glacial lakes. It offers amazing fishing and areas with wild blueberries. The park is not for the faint of heart, catering primarily to canoeing and paddling trips with numerous portages, which can be rocky and unimproved. Many outfitters are available to help visitors get set up, though no boat motors are allowed. The park features a nice day use area at the Dawson Trail entrance near a beach, with an information office containing lots of information and memorabilia. There are campsites for RVs that are excellent, nice, level, and with good privacy, though some note the RV sites are too close together. The park store is fantastic and the largest many have seen. Staff are described as great, friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Visitors should be aware of bear alerts and the more rugged conditions, which include campsites with no latrines. The park is generally clean and relatively quiet, though it sees many paddlers. Overall, it is considered a great park with fantastic scenery, where many plan to return for a lifetime.
Nice day use area at the Dawson Trail entrance near the beach. Information office has lots of information and memorabilia. There was a Bear alert warning when we visited so we were carefull to keep watch, but we didn't see any bears or evidence of their presence.
