“Nature’s Emporium is one of those places where you notice products you don’t usually see in regular grocery stores. I stopped in mainly for organic produce but ended up checking out the fresh meals and specialty food sections too.
The store has a calmer feel compared to larger chains, and it’s easy to browse without feeling rushed. Not the place for the cheapest groceries, but great when you’re looking for quality or something specific.”

“The selection here is good, though there’s still room for improvement. The produce is always fresh and nicely displayed. The staff in the grocery section are especially friendly and helpful — the young brunette girl is an absolute sweetheart. I’ve also had consistently positive experiences with the supplements staff. The cashiers are generally ok but some could be better when it comes to etiquette and friendliness.

I definitely prefer this location over the original Thornhill store. The atmosphere is much nicer and more welcoming overall.

My biggest issue here is the location. It’s situated in the busiest and most chaotic part of Newmarket. It seems that most people who shop organic and are into wellness — myself included — tend to live more toward the older part of town southeast of this intersection. That’s probably why most of the yoga studios and other wellness businesses are on Leslie or close to Main Street. Getting home from here can be quite a trek with all the congestion, detours, bad drivers, and traffic. It’s much easier and more seamless to drive to the other health food store at Yonge and Mulock but I still want to support this store so that it stays in business and we have options.

I really wish they had opened this location closer to Leslie instead. That said, aside from the location, it’s still a good store. If there was an option for 4.5 stars, that’s what I would give, but since I can’t do that I will give it 5.”
