A big thank you to the lady that was working the evening of October 14th. I walked in 20 minutes before closing and she was extremely patient and helpful. She took the time to review and explain my options, reviewed what was available in store and colour options online. No sales pressure to buy now, helped me try different options, sizes and ultimately to choose the right shoe for my needs. I was pleasantly surprised by my shopping experience & I did ultimately order the colour I wanted online but will be coming back when I need my next pair!

Not sure where tbese negative comments are coming from- I came here to say what a pleasure it was to speak with Bev. I stopped in to the Aurora went in and she gave me some recommendations along with a couple of pairs to try on as I was trying to figure out what works for my foot type her..I expressed that I likely am not buying roght now to which she replied that was no problem whatsoever.. We had a great conversation and she may have swayed me towards some Brooks to which i was not open to before. No pressure- just honest conversation and advice.
So great, friendly and knowledgeable experience for me. Keep doing what you’re doing Bev!!

The Aurora Running Room is not the place to go. I went to shop for Hoka slides and the younger lady that was supposedly “helping” us was extremely unhelpful and seemly annoyed that we were there. Doesn’t seem to want to answer our questions and provided us with 1 to 2 word answers. First time going to The Running Room so I’m hoping this experience I got is location specific but not a good first experience for sure. Would not recommend to anyone.

Went in earlier this week. Spent $130 on a bunch of nutrition to test out for my Ironman training. There was a younger guy who was cashing me out. I asked what the return policy was in case it wasn’t working for me. After he answered me that it couldn’t be returned, an older lady started laughing from across the room like I asked some stupid question. It was very rude, condescending and unnecessary. The employee I was dealing with had already answered my question. I said okay, grabbed my stuff and left. As I was walking out the door, she then shouted to me that no one’s ever complained about that product before, again with a condescending tone. Based on the reviews, it sounds like the same employee that others have had a negative experience with.

The Running Room Aurora is definitely NOT a place to shop. Today I was asked to leave the store because I was asking to many questions by the Customer Service Rep.
I arrived at the store about 10:05 shortly after opening hours. I was greeted by the store rep who assessed me from head to toe with her eyes. Her attitude from here onward was demeaning, abrupt and rude. I was driving from Richmond Hill (coming from the gym) and decided it was closer to Aurora than driving to Markham. I was determined to buy a pair of shoes today so I continued shopping. I asked to get my feet measured to which her replied was “we do not do that here”. I was astonished by her reply but continued shopping. After several minutes of her hash and condescending remarks, I decided I had enough. I told her I was trying to give her a sale and that she was not being friendly or courteous to me. She did not like my remarks and asked me to leave the store.
I left the Aurora store and made my way to the Markham store. There I was greeted by a clerk who was nothing more than friendly, courteous, and a pleasure to do business with. I was able to purchased a shoe that fitted my feet like a glove after trying on several pairs. Ravish was able to measure my feet, sold me socks and never once showed me any negative vibes. I will definitely return to The Running Room MARKHAM. This was my second time visiting the Markham location and the service is impeccable. Maybe Aurora could take some lessons from the Markham store in regard to customer service.
Running Room management, you need to assess your customer service at the Aurora location.

We had the pleasure of being served by Bev today and she was amazing. I have many issues with my feet and I have issues with my feet. It is hard for me to get running shoes and I need someone who is knowledgeable about what is the best shoe for different issues. Bev was so amazing. She brought me a few pairs to try and I bought a pair of Hoka shoes that felt wonderful the first time i put them on. It is so great to go shopping and meet someone who really knows what they are doing. If you need running shoes and you specific issues with your feet go see Bev in Aurora and she will help you. Thank you Bev!

DO NOT SHOP HERE!I'm genuinely disheartened and compelled to share my appalling experience at Running Room, primarily due to the behavior of the store manager, Beverley Erdenberger. Her attitude was not only unprofessional but shockingly dismissive and rude. I've always believed in constructive criticism, but her conduct left me no choice but to voice my frustration publicly.Upon entering the store, I was looking forward to purchasing a new pair of running shoes, expecting guidance and a warm welcome. Instead, I was met with a cold shoulder and a disdainful glare from the manager. When I kindly asked for assistance, her response was curt and filled with unnecessary sarcasm, making me feel unwelcome and belittled. Her lack of helpfulness was astonishing. Not once did she offer to help me find the right product or provide the slightest bit of useful advice. It seemed as though my presence was an inconvenience to her day. In a retail environment, especially one that caters to sports enthusiasts who rely heavily on expert advice, such behavior is unacceptable and, frankly, appalling. The manager's demeanor was not only unhelpful but also created a tense atmosphere in the store, making my shopping experience thoroughly unpleasant. It's disheartening to see such a lack of empathy and customer service skills in a position that should epitomize both. Her behavior reflects poorly on Running Room and tarnishes the reputation of a brand I once held in high esteem.I am beyond disappointed and angered by this experience. It's clear that the manager lacks the basic courtesy, professionalism, and enthusiasm required for her role. I urge the head office to take immediate action and reevaluate her position within the company. Such toxic behavior should not be tolerated, let alone in a managerial role, where setting a positive example for the team is crucial. This incident has not only deterred me from returning to Running Room but also compelled me to advise others to steer clear until significant changes are made. A store that once symbolized health, positivity, and community now leaves a bitter taste of disdain and disappointment.

Recent purchase of a jacket had unsewn jacket pocket that was very hard to identify. As a result of this defective jacket, I ended up losing my key fob (>$300 expense after taxes) during a snowy run.Prior to losing my key, I also noticed a very large amount of loose threads on the garment, more so then you would expect from a quality product.Full disclosure, I was offered a $50 coupon on my next purchase at the running room to make up was this defective jacket. I would have preferred a non-defective jacket in the first place, or have trained staff check the quality of items before checkout. In general, I would say that the running room product quality has degraded enormously in the last 15 years. I will no longer spend money at this establishment. It is a shame that this former Canadian powerhouse of a company has fallen off the map. For the same price point a MEC running jacket would be a much better buy, or spend an incremental amount more for much better quality and customer service at lululemon, sporting life, etc...
