I've had multiple bad experiences with this branch of Scotiabank, and it's clear I’m not alone. Reviews dating back seven years to now show the same pattern of complaints. This points to a systematic issue with the bank, and it seems the higher-ups couldn’t care less about their clients and concerns.
The staff's behavior reflects the bank's culture—if the company doesn't care about its customers, it won’t bother to train its employees properly, leaving them clueless on how to handle clients. Simple tasks like sending a wire transfer or certifying a cheque should not require a visit to your home branch—these are issues other banks resolved over a decade ago!
To Mr. Scott Thompson (CEO): it’s time to wake up and address the issues in your bank if you care about your clients at all. I will never do business here again and strongly advise others to avoid this branch and Scotiabank entirely—other banks value their customers far more.

Absolutely Horrible bank. Inexperienced tellers, rude and unimaginably a horrible bank. If you use this bank, just remember you were warned. Money went missing from your account, oops sorry, wrong amount entered by teller / oops sorry, ......... just a horrible bank

The financial advisor didn’t respond to any of my 3 emails over the course of 2 months. Finally went into the branch and spoke to the manager and she has a very condescending attitude and didn’t help because I work for a competing bank. Extremely poor customer service. I wish I could give 0 stars

On November 22 and 23, I visited this branch to address various issues with my coworker's bank account. A young lady, whose name I'm not aware of, at the counter was exceptionally helpful and respectful. I truly value her positive attitude. She directed us to her colleague, Rusha, if I remember correctly, who was also extremely helpful. Thank you for your excellent service, guys. We appreciate it.

I had the pleasure of working with Mital patel for the mortgage of my first house, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. Called branch got re routed to call center, wanted to open business account, booked appointment with call center to go to this branch on Saturday morning, got there on time and after waiting in line representative said ‘oh noooo this person doesnt work here, you cannot open business account at this branch you must got to Mullock and Younge branch she works there now!’ Got to other branch, someone there again say ‘ who told you to come here???? She doesnt work here! Go to Green Lane and younge! She is there now, asked for a phone number to confirm she actually works there and… sorry we dont have their phone numbers, branches do not answer the phone anymore! Scotiabank policy!!!’
Went to third branch and she wasnt there she doesnt work today, for half hour branch manager and other employees were doing nothing and they said I must re book an appointment 2 hours later, if you want to open an account otherwise go somewhere else!!!!!! They could easily open the account 4 people doing Nothing for half hour and booking for later!!!
They were on their phones and talking to each other about personal life events!!! Hahahha who manages this bank?? Great place to work get paid without doing any work!! Horrible if you are a customer!!! Went to small bank open account without appointment. Please read all bad reviews about big banks in Canada now!
Go somewhere were they care about you, there are better banks, I have a personal account for 15 years closing account soon!!!

The most worst location and the most bad experience I have ever had in my entire life it’s been more than 8 days there’s a problem in my account and they are not helping the stuff are so rude customer service zero , they just pass me around Scotiabank please let them know they have to solve people’s problem not just ignoring them it’s our right to get help .

You can't speak to anyone in the branch - all calls are routed to a contact centre. Wait times vary from 30 min to 45+ min with no option to leave your number for a callback. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE extremely frustrating.
