“We used to come here bi-weekly, for years. Prices are very reasonable. The food was so good, but now we find the last many visits have changed. Cabbage rolls- cabbage is mush, barely any beef, seems like lots of overcooked rice. Tastes like a lot of sugar is added as well.
Stuffed Peppers- kinda the same
Pastas are way overcooked. By the time you reheat them, they are so mushy, it is not palatable. They used to cook them almost al'dente, so when you cook them they were perfect.
Meat pies: filling is gravy, veg hardly any meat
It used to be a great place, kind, friendly and welcoming, bust, unfortunately, the last year or so every time I go in, I feel like I am bothering them and a pain in the butt, it is a miserable welcoming. I usually purchase a lot of meals, keep going back hoping for things to get better, but I am sorry to say, it seems to be getting worse”

“Hind Quarter Meat Co is hands down one of the best spots in Barrie for quality meat and service. The staff behind the butcher counter were knowledgeable and offered genuinely helpful advice that made picking the right cuts easy… their recommendations were spot on and clearly came from real expertise.
The prepared foods are fantastic too, everything I picked up was fresh and full of flavour. On top of that, the service throughout was top notch from start to finish.
This is exactly the kind of local butcher shop that’s worth going out of your way for. Will definitely be back!”
