The tire department at the Barrie location is not very good. The people who take your keys and money are all very nice and helpful.Once in the last few years when I took my car to change from my winter to summer tires they told me that the tread was too worn and they could not do the work. They should have known when they removed the tires but did not think of telling me.Two weeks ago it happened again when I took my car in to have my winter tires put on. They told me that one of the tires was damaged and the tread was low. There is a tear in the tire around the inside where it goes over the rim. They either damaged my tire when they removed it in the spring or when they were installing it. They assumed no responsibility for the damage. On another occasion shortly after having my tires changed over I developed a leak. I took my car into a different Costco and was told that they did not properly seal the tire during installation.I would not recommend the tire department at the Barrie Costco.

This review is specifically for the tire center. They never answer phones and expect you to wait 1-1.5 hours for 4 tires with mounted rims being changed over for seasonal tires; and act like it's acceptable to put the cherry on top of the cake. I don't know who is the manager, but this department needs better communication between front desk and the garage itself. If the garage brought 4 vehicles in, why not have all hands on deck work on one vehicle and go down the line in the order they came in. Isn't the old saying teamwork makes the dream work? More customer satisfaction with shorter guaranteed turnaround times and less soreness on a very labour intensive position. Consider Maybe hiring extra sets of hands for peak seasons and getting a better online booking system/generic booking phone line.

I’ve been a member of Costco for some time now, and my experience has consistently been positive. The wide range of products available, from groceries to electronics, makes it a convenient one-stop shop for me. The quality and value of their Kirkland Signature brand are excellent. The store is well-organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Plus, the food court is a great bonus for a quick and affordable meal. Overall, Costco provides great value for a membership and is a go-to for my shopping needs.

Very clean place up here in Barrie. Always a pleasure to buy here, but like most Costcos, parking is very competitive, and lineups are cash are almost always guaranteed, but they work hard to keep the flow going as fast as possible. Having to show your card at the entrance and your bill when you leave are the least appealing things to me.

Temporarily moved to the area and this is the Costco we visit weekly or so. People are friendly and usually you can park your car easily and the lines aren't that bad. I had to return/price match some stuff several times, the customer service was friendly and the wait time was fairly short.

We call it the $300 store, lol. It's so hard to keep the bill under that. Great staples and a nice variety of specialty goods. Know your prices, and have fun shopping!

Decent, clean, organized store. The food counter is always busy but great service. I love signing ASL with Natalie! There are some great staff members there

For the second time in 3 weeks, I had to return chicken that smelled terrible. When I called Costco head office, they said they said they hadn't heard about problems with the chicken supply. But both times the representative at the store knew about issues with the chickens with a foul smell

I love Costco stores. And I love their products. But this is a different sort of review, and I hope it will reach the eyes of the book buyers at Costco and whoever is responsible for slapping stickers on the front cover of your books.I read a lot. I like to buy my books at Costco, because they generally feature (and carry) new titles, quickly. But here's the thing...it takes a half hour to remove the horrible, over-sized stickers from the front covers after I bring them home!As most book lovers I know, we despise anything that defaces a new book - and even, after a lot of effort, once the sticker is mostly removed, a residual goo remains and looks unsightly, as well as sticking to other books on the shelf. Why do you do this? Cashiers scan the reverse cover anyway! Place the sticker on the back cover, if you must, at all!Trust me when I say this: people who truly love books and love to read, hate the ugly oversized stickers you're planting on the top right hand corner of every book they buy from you!I've raised this with store cashiers, staff working in the department, customer service staff at the Membership desk, and now on the internet, with the hopes that SOMEONE will read this, and act on it.Don't deface your pristine book covers!

THANK YOU STAFF. I have been to several locations through out the chain and gotta say that this location by far has the most amazing staff. On several occasions they have gone above and beyond to help me in many ways. Between having disabilities and some days having trouble getting around, so when they see me coming they will meet me with a motorized cart. Then will ensure to have some staff help load my items into my vehicle and returning the cart. Then when Costco credit card switched from Capitol One to CIBC, Capitol One never sent me my rebate. I tried many times to follow up with them and the service desk at another location for 2 years. Never getting any results, then spoke with the manager Qucee at the service desk at Barrie, she explained this has been a problem, so she would get me a Costco Cash Card for the amount, so she reached out to head office, took some time. After her sending several emails, but kept following up on my behalf and keeping me updated. Finally got it, THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE STAFF.

Can’t go wrong with Costco. Was never a believer until I got a membership.Super friendly staff and awesome deals. Also they pay their staff a living wage which would grant them an extra star had I not already given them 5.

The WORST Costco I have ever been to. The employees here are extremely rude. The employee by the door stopped us to ask us for our membership and when we asked him why he wasn’t asking anyone else walking right by us as we were having this conversation he said “he chose us today” this is the third time we have been here and all three times there has been issues with the attitude of the staff. We even spoke to a manager named Kevin about it and it was a waste of my time. We ended up just leaving our cart in the middle of the store and left because we were so upset. I have spoken to Tyler (the person who is in charge of this location) in the past about my first issue and he was very nice about it but seems like nothing has changed. Tyler, hire people that care about their job and treat all people EQUALLY with respect. Also, maybe hire people that understand customer service. We pay a membership to shop with this company and it’s not ok to be treated like this every time we walk into this location.

Costco is great. Prices for many items are generally better, value-wise, than other stores--but not always. Gas prices at Costco are nearly always several cents per litre cheaper than elsewhere. If you shop here at least 4 times in a year-long period and get gas each time, it's totally worth the membership!

Always find what I need here. The pharmacy is great! Costs for drugs are cheaper. Lots of options of items in grocery and meats. Bakery section is awesome.

Great business. My Toshiba microwave broke after 1.5 years and Costco online team happily agreed to take it back, even though it was out of warranty and Toshiba customer support had refused to do anything about it. Great job, Costco.
