“I went to the Dollar Tree grand opening on Friday, November 21, 2026 (or possibly the day after) in the evening, and I was impressed.

The first thing I noticed was the lighting — dimmer and much more pleasant than the harsh, hospital-style lights you find in most stores. As someone in tech with an eye for design, I thought the space was super functional.

Store layout: The aisles were the perfect height, not overwhelming, and the signage was excellent. Each aisle had lower, clearly visible signs, and you could actually see the signs across the entire store from wherever you stood. Navigation was effortless.

Products: I found exactly what I was looking for — chalk — which the other dollar store didn’t carry. The snack selection was also solid, with multiple food aisles that were well-organized.

Shopping experience: I’ll admit, I’m not a fan of wandering around stores, but this layout made shopping quick and easy.

Staff: Customer service at the counter was friendly and efficient.

A couple of small things stood out: I didn’t notice an “open” sign, so I wasn’t sure at first if the store was open. Also, there wasn’t a clear demarcation for the lineup area, so it felt more free-flowing.

Overall, though, the experience was smooth, functional, and surprisingly enjoyable.”
