ABOVE AND BEYOND! It was Thanksgiving weekend 2014 and i had forgotten to renew my oral chemo for my Leukemia. My local pharmacy ( i live in the Midland/Penetang area ) did not have the meds in stock, as they are expensive and ordered as needed. I was in a panic, i had taken this medication since 2008 without missing a beat. I called Purehealth Pharmacy in Barrie, which is located right in Royal Victoria Hospital. My reasoning was they are located right beside the Cancer Care Center at RVH. I was told that they did not have these meds in stock either. I guess the distress in my voice was coming through, as he took my phone number and told me he would look into the availability for me. Low and behold my phone rang a few minutes later and i was told that the medication was on route from Toronto and would be delivered, right to my home. I asked what the cost would be and i was told, no charge.The next time i went for my routine check up at the Cancer Center i stopped into the Purehealth Pharmacy and met the man who made this all possible. His name is Magdy and he is the owner. I offered him a hundred dollar bill for his effort in making my Thanksgiving a less stressful one. After a bit of back and forth with the money, i told him, use it for someone in need, like i had been on Thanksgiving weekend. He said okay, i will.For the next ten years Magdy and Purehealth team have been a big part of my life. Delivering my medication needs right to my doorstep.This fall i was told that my $100 deductable was due for Ohip from the pharmacy staff. I asked if i could make monthly payments as i did not have $100 at the time. I was told to hold on for a moment, Magdy then got on the phone and said remember that $100 you gave to me ten years ago, well i will use it now to pay your deductible for this year. Talk about getting all choked up, i haven't cried in a long time, but his kindness overwhelmed me. For the last ten years, Magdy his son Joseph and all the staff and drivers have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND in taking care of me. Funny how you never know when you are going to run into a lost brother, because that is what Magdy has become to me. We greet each other with hugs as if we had not seen each other for long time. Also a special thanks to Peter who has also become a great friend, delivering my medication and we also share the love of racing and fast cars. I wish them all happiness, health and prosperity! To Magdy, his beautiful wife Lila and all the staff at Pure Health,It’s that time of year again when myself and my family can really show a heartfelt appreciation for all of your efforts in taking care of the Woodhouse clan. You and your team of pharmacists and technicians have always shown us such compassion, commitment and of course a high degree of competency in looking after what seems like a “crazy & complex” system of our medication regimes. We appreciate all of the efforts made of your drivers as well, We’re always greeted with a smile and our pups recognize your van when you pull into the driveway and are always enthusiastic to see you & receive their special treats from you. This is just a small token of how we want to say Thank You for all of your efforts. I hope you enjoy the jam this year, all the fruit came from a family farm just north of our beautiful city of Barrie & the Belgian Waffles are homemade.Katherine, Doug & Connor Woodhouse

Having my cancer medication delivered right to my door has been so helpful! Especially being in a different city. The delivery driver is so friendly. I’ve had to call in a couple times and the staff has been very helpful.

Beyond Terrible. Sadly it's well known by medical professionals that this place is a mess. Mistakes, errors, language barrier sometimes, incorrect information given, poor at faxing, poor communication, etc. Not once have I been able to obtain my prescription from there in the past 2years one time problem free. I call to find out if a prescription is ready to be picked up after not hearing back for 5 days, I'm told it is ready. I come to pick it up and I'm informed they never even faxed the doctor for a refill. This has happened 4 times. The staff also do not understand requesting a refill from the prescriber 5 days in advance. They just continually repeat its not time yet. I can go on and on. Choose any other pharmacy if it's feasible.

Their ad in the waiting room of the hospital that they help with parking is a scam. They only validate 15 minutes, and only if you fill a prescription there. Not really any help when you’ve been parked almost 24 hours.

I went in for an air cast, the lady that helped me was nice but not sure on the products. Once we decided on a boot and went to pay, I realized I didn’t have my wallet on me so I called my husband and asked him to bring it. In the about 10 minutes it took my husband to come with my card a lady came out of an office and asked the girl that was helping me if I needed assistance and she explained why I was waiting, this woman then told the employee to “watch me”. If I didn’t have a broken foot and needed this air cast I would have left immediately.EDITI had to go back to be refitted and had the pleasure of dealing with Nathan. He was incredible!He was knowledgeable, caring, friendly and very helpful. Definitely a better experience the second time. Thank you Nathan.

Delivery team should be more well behaved with customers. A lady delivers medicine once caught in front of my property putting her face through the glass to spy if people are inside or not ! I was few steps from her, i took my stuff went away. Again she misbehaved when she came to deliver my medication, she rang the bill and knocked the door aggressively and scared us. I open the door and with out any proper communication, she gave the medication and disappeared. I only ask the management to choose delivery staff, it could be bad reputation in turn though all effort done to have a class in the market.

Assisted greatly in getting my needles and barrel situations sorted expeditiously, had both 18 & 25 in stock as well as 1cc syringes! Pharmacy aid was overly helpful on the phone, and in person. Very kind and super helpful overall, especially in a pinch.

They speak Eileen ...I can come to them with my worst "Karen" on, and leave with the best possible outcome.Each and every experience has left me feeling cared for; I especially respect the way they will question doctor's prescriptions at times. Especially when changing from one medication to another, when it's in the same class of drugs, RIIIGHT? Porque, but why? Ask the questions...I had another great experience tonight, just a minor tweak on my pouches, I am visually impaired... mixed my am&pm meds whoops, now they can put a moon and sun on my pouches...Ta-dahhhThanks team

They speak Eileen ...I can come to them with my worst "Karen" on, and leave with the best possible outcome.Each and every experience has left me feeling cared for; I especially respect the way they will question doctor's prescriptions at times. Especially when changing from one medication to another, when it's in the same class of drugs, RIIIGHT? Porque, but why? The sales man at the cash was so rude to me when I asked about the collection of copy/original prescription from an RVH doctor. He denied first, later allowed me to take a photograph of the prescription sheet. This angry guy made lot of strikes across the original in front of me before giving it to me and expressed his distress with a long pitched OK sound many times.Is this the behavior to your customer ?
