Worst bank in Canada. I was trying to withdraw money from and investment so I could pay my mortgage with it lady said everything was good so I left called a week later nothing was actually submitted, same thing happened previously and they promised and assured me next time would go smooth yet here we are and they are telling me I need to come up with different arrangements to pay my mortgage besides my money they are holding, so I said what would you do in my shoes the answer I got was "I don't know not my problem"

I went into RBC today to deposit my cheque from my work. I was told after 5 deposits they wouldn’t hold my cheques for 1 week anymore. Today was my 6th deposit and I needed to pay my bills, I even had the cheque certified by TD bank in Barrie. After politely trying to reason with the bank teller who wouldn’t release my money to me, and had no reason as to why they wouldn’t release it to me, finally says to me “Well Sir, you don’t make enough money for the bank to trust you to release your whole cheque. I’m being quite generous releasing even $500 to you.” Shocked and embarrassed like any customer of RBC would be, I will taking me and my family who all bank with RBC elsewhere! -5 stars. No wonder they have to give out Apple Watches and other products to get new customers, they can’t keep any of their own customers !! I’d gladly pay more to bank elsewhere, if this is how we can expect to be treated here.

The worst branch ..... including manager (the lady) except one or two staffs ..... not only one day .... many times again and again same worst experience here ....

I went in to deposit a pretty decent amount of cash to my savings and it didn’t go in, she never gave me a receipt and when I called no body knew what happened. Trying to get my money was a hassle.

I remember why I left RBC a long time ago I go to the specific branch to deal with my dead mother's estate. And to try to get respectful help there is unbelievable. There is no sincerity there, when the service is against you. The condolences for my mother we're fake, and they're unable to help me pay bills while they collect interest off my mother my dead mother estate. A bank collecting interest on dead people. And I can't even fix it because they won't let me. Now I have to go visit another Branch or deal with somebody else that has more empathy. Brian at this branch is not empathetic enough to deal with dead people's accounts. Nothing was explained to me proper like the other Branch did. The best thing I did was go to a different branch. Misinformed and treated like a second-class citizen.

Worst branch I’ve ever been to. Waited 25 minutes to finally talk to a teller. There was 3 ppl ahead of me in line. You can hear and see all the tellers are all making small talk with customers. Super annoying when I’m in a rush. I brought in a draft (guarantee funds) and they wanted to hold it even though I’ve deposited this type of cheque 3 other times. Walked out after wasting 30 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. Didn’t even get the job done. Fail. Won’t go back.

Awful customer service, waited 30 minutes in line and the teller couldn’t find a simple form I was asking for. The tellers will literally pull up google to answer my question (could’ve done that myself). I’ve yet to have a seamless experience at this bank.

Slowest bank in North America. Always a huge line. No one has a clue about any policies procedures or.customer service. Switch banks if you can.

Was in line to get some change for my business. The line was about 15 people long and the bank only had 2 people working the front desk to help. 2 employees we’re having a personal conversation for about 10 minutes while everyone waiting in line and didn’t offer to help once. Not sure if they were able to but really felt like my business wasn’t appreciated. Will only come here since I have to for work purposes.

The customer service at the Mapleview Dr location in Barrie is top notch! On the morning of August 21, my son and I made the 3 hour south trek to Barrie, to purchase a computer. When we arrived at this RBC, we were immediately greeted by an employee; did our business, and on our way within minutes. I wish I knew the name of the lady who helped us, as she was very friendly and helpful. I'm a lifelong RBC customer, and will continue to be. Thank you Mapleviewview RBC!

Do not choose RBC to Bank with. Have had only bad experiences with RBC ever since I began banking with them. I finally decided to cancel my card with them, had to come in twice only to find out that my card never got cancelled and they ordered a new one. To top it off apparently I don’t need to come in at all to close an account (which they could’ve told me the first time I came in?). Just a nightmare that never ends. I’m thankful the lady on the phone from RBC told me this information so I can finally close my account once the new card arrives.Overall bad service and really disappointed with this company, avoid if possible.

The reason we complaint about te RBC BARRIE location today July 11 we walk into the counter to speak with a client advisor the person name( SONAL VOHRA) who did not had any customer service and respect for refugees.All my client wanted to withdraw money from there own account and I was there to translated to them because when there moved here the COSTI ORGANZTION did not set them up for ONLINE BANKING.When we told her we want to change the address on the file from the old place to new with proper documents and lease agreement to new location she still did not understood the process.When you move here as refugee the govere,mnt do not issue you I.D card only PAPER DOCUMENTS to verify youWhen we ask for money from there account she try to ignore us because we made separately transaction,She did not know what exactly was the total amount till the ASSISSANT MANGER came in( corrie copper very nice lady with a lot knowledge and info she help us .SONAL VOHRA needs more training how to respect customer and learn about the service and products at RBCtHANK YOU

I would give 0 stars if I could.- layout requires too much walking contributing to slow service,- so much space, under-utilized,- staff are slow, no sense of urgencyI have to reiterate the terrible layout. Too many steps required to do tasks. Stick to the basic counter layout with everything in one area.
