This was quite a nice motel with a view of the lake. The room we were in was quite nice with a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. Saw the northern lights here. Highly recommend if you are in this area.
Rooms: Room was spacious and well appointed. We had a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub.

My family and I have been at this restaurant several times. The restaurant is in an excellent location, the service was ok. However , the taste and quality of food continues to decline. I ordered the souvlaki dinner which came on a small plate with plain white rice without any taste, the chicken skewers I’m not sure if it was chicken as they were extremely mushy and over seasoned. Maybe they put too much season on the skewered and forgot the rice lol, I dunno. My dad tried to order 3 different types of beer none were available. He told the waitress that every time he’s here he tries to order the beer from the menu those 3 are never available. My sister ordered a virgin Caesar which tasted like pickled juice. We notified the waitress, the waitress was nice enough to bring us another Caesar which tasted the some. We eventually sent the drink back as it didn’t taste at all like a Caesar. The pizza and the fish were good. After paying we noticed we got charged for the Cesar drink the owner said “we didn’t add the pickle juice to the second drink”. He stated that he will fix this next time we come back. I told him I won’t be coming back. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

We stayed one night, September 16, 2024 and I’m sure there were bed bugs. We had two beds and both of us were bothered for weeks after with bites received that night. My friend had stayed there a few years ago and she was very disappointed in how it has deteriorated.
Will never stay there again.

Rooms are clean and economical when it was under the original owner, unfortunately he passed away and he owners are ruining this property with dirty rooms and stinky washroom. Front desk manager was rude

I had a wedding in the area in August, and had blocked off some rooms for my guests. 3 weeks prior to the wedding, I called the Ash Grove and had the staff release the remaining rooms under my name that had not already been booked. I personally had one of the rooms booked for my photographer, and was expecting to pay for only that room. The next morning I woke up and noticed that I had been charged for two rooms. I called the motel to let them know that there had been a mistake, and that I had only booked one room, but the manager insisted that this was my fault, and that they had been calling my phone all night to see if I still needed the second room. I had no missed calls on my cell phone, and regardless, I had called weeks prior and told them to release all rooms under my name that weren't already booked, except the one for my photographer. The manager was hostile to speak to, completely dismissive, and never refunded me for the second room.
His staff were very kind and empathetic and tried to help me, but I will never recommend the Ash Grove to others in the future as the manager and this experience completely ruined it for me.
Noteworthy details: Do not trust the manager at the Ash Grove Inn.

My boyfriend and I ate here Monday Sept 30th . We decided to eat here because we never tried it before. I ordered a Clubhouse with a poutine and my husband a Lumber jack burger . The food was terrible my turkey was so dry and the bacon was like jerky. I had to ask for extra mayo , waited a bit for that , than my boyfriends mouth was on fire so he asked for more pop and waited awhile for that. We were outside and it smelled like septic and than I looked to my left and saw who was running it and than I understood why the food was so shitty. Will not be back and im also warning people. By the way to the people who run it , when you come here , you have to cook the food the Canadian way not east Indian way. Terrible..And it's everywhere and I'm tired of it !!!

So disappointing.French onion soup was gross.I thought there was a hamburger in it, but it was soup soaked bread! Way too salty.Gourmet grilled cheese was so skimpy and not melted.New owners??? Really has changed.Wont go back.

Came for dinner here last summer. We had fish and chips on the patio and had a perfect weather witht he view of the lake. Would come again and try a different dish?They had a group of ladies that were having a bachelorette party and karaoke..sounds like a nice place for a small town.
