Covid insanity. Wanted me to let my child go into the store alone, with a male worker ( she wanted to pick out a new hamster gift for her friend)....because, only one customer at a time. Nope.

The staff at this location have been so wonderful and helpful. They have a great selection of food on hand and are always happy to special order something in for those fussy pets. Great customer service is becoming less and less common. I want to recognize when a store goes above and beyond. Thanks for all of your help

Customer service is lacking. Short with customers. 3 different occasions and each time they were rude, short and didn't want to help. Perhaps higher management needs to send the message that a smile and being helpful keeps customers coming back. Others I know have had similar situations happen to them.

They are the friendliest staff of any store I have ever been to! They even remember your name and say hi when they see you out and about in Beamsville. THE BEST pet store - knowledgeable and friendly staff. The bad reviews they received here are sadly only because they are adhering to strict pandemic protocol. It's not their fault.

The way the staff treats customers is abhorrent, and down right abusive, I have never been spoken to like that over trying to discuss a substitution for my dogs food with an actual person.edited to add-I spoke with the customer service Manager for Pet Value Canada she apologized for the store owners behavior and let me know that appropriate action with the owner will be taken as this is not the way customers should be treated. Hopefully this prompts the owner to start treating people with respect.

I am actually sad and shocked to read some of the reviews posted here.I have always had nothing but excellent customer service at this location. The staff here always goes over and above, every time I’ve ever shopped here.Covid has changed so much in the way we shop and now presently we’re back in a lockdown. Essentials only. Stores are trying their best to accommodate as many of us as they can. So maybe that means doing a bit of legwork on your own, to know what is it specifically you need, and then ordering ahead online with plenty of time for staff to get it ready for you. Not showing up at a store expecting staff to play, nope not that one! with you and then being upset they couldn’t help the way you wanted, and then leave a bad review? Retail staff are not your servants, do your part as well.I will always shop at this location and I am ever grateful for every effort of the staff here. I am thankful for their comment to keep their customers safe while still enabling us to get what we need for our pets.Keep doing what you do Paulmacs Beamsville!

I realize it’s a bad time then we have to follow strict guidelines. I went to the window saw the sign on the door the lady came to the door and asked me if I call ahead I said no because I wasn’t sure of the name of the product I asked her to show me some varieties through the glass they didn’t look busy that seem like a real hassle for them she told me to call the number on the door. I called the number and a very rude lady on the other end begin in a condescending tone telling me about following rules etc.I tried to explain to her I didn’t know exactly what The name of the product was. We have a new puppy and I will never ever going to that store again. Based on the route service I received today.

Worst customer service ever. The employees are rude, condescending, and treat you like garbage if you ask anything. I will drive 25 mins to fonthill to the Pet Valu, rather than buy from there ever again. They really need to retrain the staff on customer service. It’s astonishing that given 3 different opportunities, they treated me the same way each time. Do better folks!! When people have choices where to shop, you should really do better!! I’ll literally never spend my money there again. 3 strikes and you’re out!

We absolutely love Paulmacs. The staff are always welcoming and helpful when you have questions. We recently switched our dogs to a raw food diet and the staff were extremely informative and supportive the whole way through. We will always support our local pet shop. :)I also appreciate their efforts to keep customers and staff safe.Keep up the great work!
