“I was visiting family and got a bent rim on my car. I had to go back to Quebec for an emergency. The guys at Ace’s at first sent me to Matthew’s to get a new rim. Matthew’s didn’t have a rim for a Corolla, they sent me to Canadian Tire (45 minutes away). I called Ace’s to tell them I’d be gone longer than expected, and he told me not to bother with CT, and to come back. By the time I was back he had banged the rim back into shape, put the tire back on the rim, warned me that it may not last all the way to Montreal, and installed it back on the car. He charged me $20 (I gave him more because $20 is ridiculous).
It’s been over a month, the rim and tire are as good as new. Ace’s was not only honest, but a good neighbour to someone they’d never met before. They made me wish I lived in or near Beaverton.”
