Jeff tries his best with the Garbage he gets to work with (EXPLORE), you can't make a silk purse out of a Pig's ear! My problems with Explore have been constant over the last 9-10 months... Zero signal at times.

Our Xplornet Satellite Internet was down (South Frontenac area). After many calls with Xplornet customer support the work order was sent to Orbit Communications & Satellites Company.We had the best experience with them. Jeff is very kind and very professional person. The best service we ever had. We would highly recommend this guy! Great job!Thanks, Jeff.

Continuously called me during work hours to set up a time to tear down Xplornet equipment and I couldn’t answer. On the weekday I had off to call them during business hours, they couldn’t be bothered to answer their phone when calling back multiple times. This left Xplore to stick me with their hardware charge because Orbit failed to do their part and call back after leaving a message notifying of good times to call. Apparently email is a thing of the past or is lost on these folks.

Consistently some of the worst customer service I’ve had from a technician.The first time we had orbit come on behalf of Xplornet, the technician showed up to check if we could get LTE, we were shown out of the coverage zone so xplornet highly doubted it but wanted to check since we were close, and if not, install a satellite. The technician spent over 6 hours climbing on and off my roof, telling me stories about the wild things he was going to try, and each time having no success. Continually interrupting me as I was unpacking and setting up our new home to tell me he made no progress still and to make weird jokes that generally made me uncomfortable. After, finally, giving up he said that it didn’t look like we were going to be able to get LTE so he is going to have to set up a satellite BUT he didn’t bring it with him so he would have to come back tomorrow. It then took him another full day to get the satellite hooked up, with more constant interruptions and weird uncomfortable jokes.Other personal calls haven’t been as bad but he still usually made me feel on comfortable so I specifically ask Xplornet not to send Orbit now because of the poor experiences.This however did not save me from having to interact with him this summer when my place of employment called for service. He entered the business, which was closed at the time, unannounced and without letting anyone know he was coming that day. I actually received word he would be coming in a few days later that night after he had gone. The management was shocked when I said he came that day as that was never communicated to them that he would be. My partner had stopped in on her way to work to have some lunch with me before she went, unfortunately this was during the service. The technician kept choosing to talk to her over me regardless of how many times I communicated I was the one who worked there and she was a guest who doesn’t need to be involved. He continually called her “sweetheart” which was also very unprofessional. I ended up having to stay later than scheduled because of the technician and he wasted time by “checking the connection speed” by playing music and asking my partner if she knew the songs. The whole situation made her and myself feel super uncomfortable.I avoid using Orbit Communications at all cost, and recommend everyone to do the same.

Horrible service, I've used them for 4 years not bad service now they should just shut there business down excepts work order never answers any of the 3 phone lines they have never responds to msgsAfter 2 weeks of no shows their tech replys to explore net that it's unsafe,Get this THEY ARE THE ONES THAT SET MY INTERNET UP IN THE FIRST PLACE and have been striving it for 4 years

Do I have to give one star? I travelled from Ottawa to Amherst Island on appointment with Orbit to set up Xplornet. They no-showed. $100 in gas, five hours of driving, a weekend diverted for this installation, for nothing. So 0 stars for Orbit and Xplornet for contracting them.

I came to Orbit as my previous tech support for Xplorenet was no longer taking work orders. They responded to Xplorenet's call in less than 3 hours and unfortunately didn't have an opening that day. The technician, which turned out to be the owner, came to my home 1 week from the call in date and went through all the details of my issues and resolved them. I got a new unit and pointed to a different tower and have never been happier. I called the office a few days before the tech was to arrive and they picked up fast and were kind and knowledgeable. I am very happy to recommend Orbit Communications.
