No help at all. Was told I needed to reset my pin by myself as they couldn’t help me, but the app says any branch can fix it. Terrible service and extremely unfriendly, aswell as unhelpful. Would recommend RBC much more than Scotiabank.

Was told I had to close my account in person. The teller gave me attitude right off the bat, manager was just as unhelpful. They play stupid like they can't do anything and treat you like you are beneath them. I imagine that the whole branch is full of Karen's like this. Avoid it.25 mins in here and got nothing done, called customer service, who tried to properly retain my business and acknowledged my other products with them, and solved my issue in 17 mins.

I don't understand why this branch locks the ATM when the branch closes. They could easily have a door that is only accessed with your card. Just bad service.

So I wanted to have a discussion with my financial advisor regarding my investments and I was informed that he has moved on. I said that's nice, wish someone had of told me. I was given the name of him, Desmond and went online and booked an appointment. I received an email saying he was away today but would be back tomorrow.I printed out some documents he requested and went to the trouble of dropping them off at the branch and was told they would go into his folder for the morning cause there's information in there I wouldn't want getting left on the counter. She put it in somewhere in a cabinet.Today I waited and never received a phone call after 30 minutes had passed the appointment time. I called the branch to see if he's there and you can't get a real person on the line, surely someone must have a phone down there, it is the 21st century.Emailed the gentleman and never got an away response today btw. I eventually called the call centre which led nowhere until I got to a nice human named Shae who rocked it. She tried the bank manager and got voicemail, then the assistant manager and the same and then Desmond and no answer. After a litany of impossible security questions about accounts I haven't used in 23 years I finally gave up, Shae couldnt do a formal complaint without that so I was a failure.Shae did email the branch manager and the assistant manager and Desmond regarding this, they might be in the office ignoring the phone and looking at their emails or they've left work early to go to the bar for drinks cause that's what they do. It's Friday and all.I had a similar situation with the bank and the branch manager previously when I need and emergency POA for a dependent who was in the hospital. I had to physically go to the bank and demand to see the manager. They have two tellers on and noone at the welcome desk and the bank machine is locked up after the bank is closed so why have a machine. I can't access my account or get money even if they're open cause the lineup is a mile long. I'm getting zero service and denied access to my money and one would wonder why I pay fees. I think I'll move all my assets and paid off 800000 house and stellar credit score and investments somewhere else. Bitcoin would be better service. No wonder half the economy is below ground now. Thanks.Just to give credit where credit is due I have logged a formal complaint with Scotiabank and the representative I contacted at the call centre was excellent. I received an email from BNS and they will be looking into it and take it seriously and they will be contacting me shortly. Also my advisor, Desmond at the local branch, contacted me and we had a productive 1 hour telephone meeting. We also discussed the service issues I've had with the branch in some detail. Kudos to Desmond and I'm thinking of upgrading my review by 1 star but I'll hang on until the complaint review unfolds.

Worst Scotiabank!! Jennifer is absolutely the worst rep ive spoken to at Scotia. Completely unhelpful and condescending. I will be switching branches for sure and once my mortgage is up, taking my business elsewhere. Worst bank in Canada!!

As a client I was very disappointed to see your display of LGBTQ flags in your window. If you are trying to be politically correct, then support other minorities. This display prompts me to remove myself from your bank

Rainbow flags surrounding the window shows me they don't represent my values. Politics and ideology isn't for a place where you need to do business and retrieve your money. I'd give it a zero if I could

The lady named Natasha did not want to help me at all. I needed help with my profile but she kept saying you can do it online. If i had trouble doing online only because of that i went to bank. If you don’t want to help people with banking what else you are there for then? And she was not polite at all.

Scotiabank has consistently been an issue for me but I can’t be bothered to keep switching. I needed to take out $950 as my eTransfer was not going through. Unfortunately like most Scotiabank ATM’s, this one is only denominations of 20 so for medium sized withdrawals, I’m not carrying $960 in $20’s when I needed $950 and we can keep it simple.Anyway, I went to the teller. It was very quiet, a few people in line but only 2 tellers working and already occupied with people doing longer banking procedures. The staff were polite. The place was very clean. The parking on the road is free for 30 min or an hour, I can’t remember, but that definitely helped as I wasn’t about to pay $2 to do all of this when an eTranfer should have worked. Anyway, got my money, didn’t take too long.

I've been at Scotia customer for over 10 years. Never have I experienced tellers that are so confused as I did at this branch. Additionally they don't even greet the customers, it sounded like the teller grunted or made some weird sound instead of saying the typical 'how can I help you' or 'I can help you here'. Avoid this branch at all costs. I literally walked out because the teller was totally incompetent.

Never felt the need to take time out of my night to write a bad review, until now. I’ve been with Scotiabank since 2016. Was my first bank account, they were fantastic for the first 2 years but steadily declined. They’re Constantly taking money from my account which aren’t reflecting on any of my statements so there’s essentially nothing I can do. Their doors are always locked so I can’t with-drawl money even from the ATM to prevent them from withdrawing MY money. Phone service is horrible and complicated. Bank fees are ridiculous and always going up. Switching to tangerine for free banking and hopefully won’t be getting robbed every other week from my own bank.

I love this branch and even when I moved to Ottawa I did not change my branch due to the exceptional staff experience I have always encountered (I simply trust them). I have to highlight one staff member in particular Erin as she has always gone above and beyond to service her clients and in my books she is the best of the best.
