Best decision I ever made was to join CrossFit Bowmanville at the end of November last year✅. I wanted to get fit, but hated working out. Through Personal Training twice a week and regular Nutrition Sessions, we figured out what I like and made it work for me. One of the biggest changes, is that I can honestly say I no longer hate working out! I hate repetition so each workout is designed to be different while still targeting the muscles that need to be targeted for my success.The Nutritionist, Laura, is amazing at setting goals with you and celebrating your successes while digging into your struggles and finding different ways to make your nutrition goals a reality. If you still want to eat cake, Laura will help you figure out how to do it while still achieving your goals. She is always accessible to answer your questions in between sessions as well which is an amazing support!My 9 year old son started doing one of the kids after school programs and absolutely loves it! He tried several different sports, but he just wasn't into them. There are so many pathways he can take with CrossFit and I'm excited to see what he does.The staff here are so amazing and supportive and truly feel like a family. Ultimately, I continue with my personal training sessions because I know that I need this in order to show up and make gains. I'm so glad that I found this place as it has already changed my life in so many ways. ❤️

I joined the Legends program at CrossFit Bowmanville a few months ago and although I was a bit trepidatious about undertaking these classes at my age and fitness level, I've absolutely loved these classes and feel like I'm accomplishing something every time I finish a class. I've seen definite improvements in balance, strength and endurance. James and Laura are great coaches and provide constant helpful feedback.

My husband and I joined the Legends program back in September and stayed on for the next set in mid November. We both very much enjoy the workouts. James and Laura take the time to make sure we are doing the exercises correctly. I have gone from doing burpees off the box to doing them from flat on the floor. Overall we are both getting stronger and feeling more fit. Highly recommend the Legends program.

CrossFit Bowmanville has an amazing team of coaches and owners that are always willing to assist you in achieving your goals. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to get in to CrossFit. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly as well as supportive from your peers and staff alike.

I have been a member of this amazing gym since October 2022. Great atmosphere, amazing Coachs and spicy workouts. They understand that everyone is at different levels and tailor your workouts accordingly. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a pro, this is a judgement free zone. Happy to be a member and will definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking to better themselves.

Before starting crossfit, I thought it was just for professionals and competitors, but wanted to give it a try and I do not regret it! At Crossfit Bowmanville everyone is very welcoming and the classes are adapted to each person's level. What I like it the most is to see the coaches doing the same class as me, right by my side, and the encouragement from coaches and colleagues. In two months of classes (2-3 times a week), I have already seen some gain in strength, muscle definition and lots of improvement on my energy level. Thank you, Crossfit Bowmanville team!

I am currently in my 3rd six week session of the ladies “Lift” class. Not only do I look forward to the classes, I’m actually excited to be there, getting stronger each week! The support and guidance during class is amazing. I had no idea what I was doing when I joined, but the coaches support and teach you so you feel comfortable and confident in no time. I’m thrilled to have found CrossFit Bowmanville! Thank you for all you do to help me achieve my goals!

I’ve had the pleasure of joining CrossFit Bowmanville since May 2023 and I wish I did it sooner. Great atmosphere, awesome Coaches, and fun workouts! I definitely find myself enjoying CrossFit more than I do going to a commercial gym. I burn more calories, I’ve improved my strength and endurance, and I get to challenge myself with the class cheering me on. Looking forward to more improvements in the new year with CFB!

Absolutely loved my workouts at CrossFit! The atmosphere was incredible, and the coaches were the best—they provided excellent guidance. The workout patterns were spot on, and I saw significant improvements in both my body and lifestyle. Thanks a bunch, CrossFit, for playing a key role in helping me transition to a healthier life. I found CrossFit 5 years ago. I was intimidated by the movements and intensity but quickly came to love the community, progress and learning curve. I learned to push past my fear and incoordination and just show up faithfully. I took a 3yr break over the pandemic and felt my physical and mental health spiral downward. I finally jumped backed in the 6am classes and couldn’t be happier. I modify everything to suit my skill level but am seeing gains both physically and mentally. My clothes fit, my brain fog has lifted and my enthusiasm for life has returned! I’ve so appreciated the Bowmanville CrossFit community and coaches. They have cheered me on to move my body, build my strength and show up faithfully.

This review is for the newcomers!I’ve been going to this gym for years and the people and the positivity is what keeps me coming back.The gym itself has a wonderful atmosphere where everyone is at a different level but there is no judgement.No matter how seasoned, you are always learning something new or levelling up a skill you’re confident in.Crossfit itself guarantees you a great workout without you having to plan your own gym session. You are guaranteed to sweat and will no doubt surprise yourself with what you are capable in doing.The coaches are there along the way to ensure you are using the equipment and executing the movements safely and efficiently. They lead by example by having done the workouts and will no doubt offer tips to help you do your best.If you are nervous to try, don’t be. It’s a fun way to get the best workout in an hour with a lot of great people.

A great community with very friendly people. A safe space for everyone. No cliques, competitive attitudes or toxicity. Coaches are personable and “connect before they correct”. I’ve done CrossFit for over five years and this is one of the best environments I’ve been in.

As a mom getting close to approaching the big 4-0, I knew I wanted to do something with my fitness, but wasn't sure what. I searched around, looking at personal training vs group classes, and CFB seemed to have the best of both worlds. My heart was pounding just going into the initial consultation with James as I really had no idea what CrossFit actually was. He made me feel at ease, and we found what would suit me best. Before you even begin classes you start with one on one person training so you learn what you will be doing in classes before starting. Jo was a great coach and again, made me feel at ease! My first class was myself, 2 others who had been going for years, and some of the other coaches, I was so nervous! They all made me feel so comfortable and were more than happy to help me along the way. I'm approaching 6 months now, 3 classes a week, and couldn't be happier. The 'level method' they use ensures you are working within your own goals and comfort, so you never feel like you are weaker, or less strong than the others there. You just do you! The gym is clean and inviting, and the coaches are all down to earth, and there to cheer on your success. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, even if you have no idea what you're doing. Just go for it!
