FreshCo Longworth & Scugog

Supermarkets , Grocery Stores
Hours: FreshCo Longworth & Scugog is the closest and most convenient grocery stop for many, with staff that is usually very friendly and courteous. It is a great store for canned, boxed, frozen, and processed goods, often featuring good prices and bonus scene points that customers appreciate. Shoppers are also starting to frequent the store more because it now carries organics and Ontario grown produce, which helps reduce the carbon footprint. However, there are consistent concerns about the stock of basic items like lactose free milk and fresh veggies, with outside shelves often found bare. The most significant issues are related to the meat section. Customers report problems with deceptive packaging, such as pork belly slices appearing lean on top but being mostly fat underneath, and chicken breasts having a grainy or stringy texture and horrible flavor upon cooking. Because of these meat issues, many find themselves shopping elsewhere more and more.
