Currently 13 months since I dropped off the estate documents for my dad who passed in February 2023 and, after having dropped the ball numerous times, with me having to pay a visit each time to the branch to find out what was happening, they still have not resolved a very small estate deposit account and instead have me and my family running all over the city trying to find one of the beneficiaries (my brother) who may or may not even still be in this city.The service has been disgusting from day 1 and as soon as this is resolved, every last dime of my money will be pulled out!!

This bank destroyed my financial future and made no effort to fix it. During covid I refinanced my mortgage as a lot of people did. However as a condition of the refi I was forced to close my HELOC. I didn’t think anything of it at the time because the refi was short term, only two years, and I could open it up again at the end of the term. But what I didn’t expect was losing my job the following year. Because of the job loss and with no other financial resources to fall back on I was forced to use my savings and investments to get by. Once they ran out I had to turn to high interest alternative lenders to keep myself afloat. The result was the complete liquidation of all my savings and a mountain of debt. If I’d had my HELOC during this period I would’ve had the same amount of debt but I’d still have my savings and investments which would’ve left me with a much more manageable situation. I had spoken to a rep from the branch last summer and even he was baffled as to why they forced me to close my HELOC. His thought was that they could’ve left it open with a dollar in it just to keep it active. Recently I attempted to restructure my debts with a “power plan” line of credit. It would’ve left me better able to rebuild my finances with only a small increase in my mortgage payment. But because I hadn’t been at my job for 2 years they refused my application and didn’t offer me any alternatives. They put me in this situation and refused to do anything to fix it. I’m 61 years old with nothing but debt and it’s because of their bad decision making.They also failed to issue RRSP deposit slips for me which resulted in a huge problem with revenue Canada. And when I asked for another account rep because I found the one that they assigned to me wasn’t paying any attention to my emails and ignoring my requests I found that they had promoted him out of his job. They then assigned me to someone else who was so off-putting I again asked for another rep. They then gave me a choice of two other reps. But when I asked to be assigned to one of them I ended up right back with the one I didn’t like. This branch is so incredibly incompetent it boggles the mind how they’re still in business. I’m moving my business to another bank entirely in an effort to save my future. And if you want to protect your future stay away from this bank and this branch.

Worst customer service ever.Managers are not available , when needed .I can wait to leave CIBC.Which I am working on as of now .Do not use this Branch .. safe yourself the headache. Do not use CIBC. To safe yourself grief.

I've been with CIBC for quite a few years. I have a GIC, MF, chequings, and savings with CIBC but the service at this branch has left me extremely frustrated and wanting to switch banks. The Financial Advisors are great, and this review does not reflect on them. Everyone I've actually met with in person for appointments has been fantastic. Whoever is responsible for the phones is awful. I have called to make appointments so many times and I don't think anyone has ever picked up before in my entire time with CIBC. Why even have a phone? I've left messages and don't recieved a call back for at least a couple days, and when I do get a call back they never leave a message with callback/extension information and don't acknowledge whatsoever what I tried my best to communicate regarding appointments. It's gotten so bad that I've actually had a significant amount of money in a GIC automatically renew and get locked for another year because I could not reach anyone about how I wanted to proceed after it matured. I'm still figuring out how to move forward from this.If you care about your money I suggest another bank, or at least another branch. Don't expect anyone to ever pick up the phone here.Again - this is not a reflection on the financial advisors at this location. When I can actually get in contact and make an appointment, the advisors have been great.

Awful customer service at this branch, very few times did I get adequate service. Needed to deposit US cash into my US account. The teller and the supervisor denied me service as they said I did not have the proper photo identification, even though I had photo ID with my picture, name and date of birth. I also had multiple CIBC cards! They said I could use the bank machine, but I needed the US cash deposit put directly into my account on that day! I am really disappointed with the service, thank goodness I did not have the same issues at the other CIBC branches. Save yourself a headache do not bank at this branch location.

Everytime, no matter what time, I have attended this location I have had to wait due to the slow service.If you see a line building up, other reps/tellers should jump on the counter and try and assist in clearing the line up.. Customer service 101.However, the manager is no where to be found If anyone wants to raise a concern.This is not one experience. I have been coming here since Jan 2023. Hoping that things will change but no luck.Hopefully after 9 months I am now posting this so other people can come here and be prepared for this wait.

My experience with this bank's customer service, branch manager left much to be desired, as it provided me with a frustrating and unhelpful encounter. Rather than making an effort to assist me or address my concerns, their approach seemed to be centered on prematurely closing the session, leaving me feeling unheard and dissatisfied. Instead of offering clear explanations and solutions, it appeared that their primary strategy was to redirect clients to call their service representatives, which did little to enhance the overall customer experience. Hope they will consider improving their services.

Just moved to Brantford from Brampton and I'm really impressed with the service I received here compared to Brampton. Was rejected to get credit card in Brampton and told that I have bad credit history even though I am new to Canada and didn't even had a credit card. But thankfully, I got my first credit card today with the help of kahlie. She listened to my whole story patiently and helped me professionally. In other words, I'm very satisfied with service in Brantford.

Read the reviews. It’s so obvious this branch is atrocious. 90% of the time the machine is “out of order” so you have to go in to receive sub par service.

My mother sold her home had small line of credit on it. it is now in trust with the lawyers waiting for a payout statement it been two week this is how they treat a 91yr old lady very disappointed
