This location has always been very friendly and helpful. Most recently they assisted me in the return of an item (tags on) and, although I had no receipt and it was several months from purchase the staff, Angel, was able to accommodate me with store credit. The process was stress free and seamless.

I did buy my dog food here because they always seem to have it, unlike other pet stores in Brantford. HOWEVER BEWARE...on other items they are scamming customers !! Example the Esbilac 2nd Step puppy milk is priced at $39.99 can. At Paulmacs it is $20.99 and at Pet Valu it is $23.99 (same EXACT product and size)I know this because I have always bought the puppy milk at Paulmacs but they had run out so I went to Ren's. Double the price ..are you kidding me what B.S. I told the associate that helped me to find it and they were also surprised but said they would price match. That works for someone like me who knows better, but what about anyone else who doesn't know that Ren's is seriously price gouging them. What a joke!! I will only be going to Paulmacs (Fairview Dr)orPet Valu(King George Rd) for everything, including my dog food from now on. I can't trust Ren's any longer. I could understand a couple dollars difference but NOT DOUBLE.

On a Sunday with Vet closed and Emergency vet advising to buy a tick twister I called Ren's as soon as they opened... They had many styles in stock and when I asked if someone could help show me on my Buddy how to use because I had already tried unsuccessfully and was scared of tick and damaging him. Not only did the lady on the phone find a coworker who'd be willing but was so kind to me. Upon arrival Ashley was eager to show me the most useful product but got down on the ground with us, being kind, educational, and sharing her knowledge I feel confidence in dealing with tick removal in the future. I am fearful of ticks amd what I needed that morning and My Babes Buddy was love, care and understanding and it's exactly what we got. My family and I are now buying our dogs needs at Ren's Brantford. Thank you to everyone who helped us.

Attended Ren's Pets Brantford today my first time going to one of these stores and it was for sure my worst pet store experience so far. The store itself has amazing products and is very clean. The workers were the least interactive I've ever experienced. There were two ladies and they stood at the cash and just had private conversations the whole time we were in the store. Super awkward, probably wouldn't go out of my way to return to this location again just due to the vibe.

Staff was great they actually had a product that I could t find anywhere else for tick and flea protection with pesticides and that works ! Especially for pregnant and nursing dogs . The girl that helped me even took the time to read the paperwork innthe package and has had repetitive customers buying this product

I love their products and their customer service people are very polite, but I've run into a few issues regarding the knowledge of some of the people that work there. As a dog groomer, I frequent this place often but ALWAYS find the products I need to be out of stock in the conveniently located Brantford location. I usually have to make the drive to another Rens to fulfill my regular orders. I was told I could place an order online and it would be shipped to my door instead of having to drive nearly 2 hours out of my way for parts I need to keep my business running. I tried that but the parts were never delivered and had to fight the shipping company to get a refund. When I called ahead one time, I asked the nice lady on the phone that before I make the extra trip into town, do you have this *specific * part in stock. I repeated the name of the part several times and asked for her to write it down as I spell it out because I've ran into the issue before that they got my part written down wrong. She assured me they had exactly 2 in stock. I asked her to keep them for me, and I'll be packing up my kids as we speak to come get this part that I require to go back to work the following day. I couldn't use my clippers anymore without the blade drive replacement. I said it many times, " AGC 2 speed blade drive REPLACEMENT." LOL I drove the 35 minutes, and when I arrived, she handed me 2 boxes of the AGC clippers.... just the clippers. They were nearly $300 a piece, but I explained over the phone that the part I need is only like $12-$14. I had also previously put in an order for 5 blade drive replacements so I don't keep running into this issue but every time I called for an update, no one had any answers as to where my parts were. Since I needed this $12 part to continue grooming, and they didn't have it in stock after placing an order weeks previous and having driven in to get the part they told me they had but really they didn't, I ended up having to spend $300.00 to buy a whole new set of clippers, simply for the $12 blade drive replacement. I wasn't happy and I was told I couldn't return the clippers if used. That I get but I wouldn't have had to spend the $300 or make the unnecessary trip into town if they kept this part in stock. Every time I'd ask for it, they always say that this is a part they can't keep in stock due to it selling out so quickly. Then why wouldn't they order more? Knowing it's a popular item and they regularly run into this issue? Anyways , besides this, I like them. Shampoos are affordable, lots of selection and the people are very friendly... they just lack the knowledge and organization to be able to service Pet groomers , seems like they aim to service regular pet owners as opposed to professionals. Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon or I will have to find another company to help me. Many of my fellow pet groomers also have the same problem and have begun to use Deboers or American companies to fulfill thier needs.
