Had to do an online return and the staff was cheery, and helpful. At many stores, staff treat people doing online returns with a little hostility, almost angry that you are doing a return at "their" store.

Maysam at the store was terrific; she helped you choose the right fit for the season.

Stay away if you’re a person of colour.Writing this review today so they know who we are. We came all the way from the Southern part of Ontario to check for reception outfits. The way my fiancé was treated was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! As People of Colour, I know it was intentional. My fiancé was hurled out literally by the attendant and he only felt comfortable to stand outside while I tried on the dresses. An elderly white couple were allowed in the dressing room and my fiancé was told to get out. He did and they had to look for him when he left to give his comments on the dresses I chose. Some of the dresses reeked like dry armpits but that aside, I found some dresses I loved. The attendants were pushy, checking in every second like I’ll evaporate with the outfits or something. I had to come out to the main mirrors which made me uncomfortable. My fiancé had to watch with others in the shop while compliments from outsiders came at me. I wanted a private view session with the person I’m going to marry. My fiancé was annoyed by the attitude of the attendants. I have dresses from Melanie Lyne and it’s not that we can’t afford it but I won’t sit while my fiancé gets insulted. He wanted to have a seat after he kept getting called back and he was yelled at to the point that I heard it in the dressing room. He was told not to sit and go out. A white man comes and they’re all jolly around him and he gets to sit on the chairs near the dressing room and the attendants even asked him to go inside to help his wife. After I was struggling with the zips and obviously heard the voice of a man in the next cubicle, one attendant comes telling me unsolicited saying “yours can’t come in because it makes some women uncomfortable” like WHAT THE HELL?? An old man standing outside of the changing room wouldn’t make me uncomfortable??? I will never return here and they can keep their dresses there. Plus most are from China so you’re better off ordering from AliBaba. Pretentious saleswomen. All the best in losing sales with your APPALLING attitude.Oh and the attendants wear cheap looking clothing and can’t advise you.

After an extremely disappointing experience at Melanie Lyne in Oakville, we returned to Mapleview, where the staff went out of their way to help my friend find a dress for her daughter's wedding. The clerk suggested Spanx and then made several calls to find the dress she loved one size bigger. She did not just rely on the computer, but put in the extra effort. All of the staff were friendly, and helpful. We will make the trip again to Niagara Falls to shop with these wonderful ladies.

I went into the store in Maple view mall. I picked out a dress and the sales lady came over and told me I should go up to Laura because they only carry up to size 16. Maybe you should ask your customer what size they wear before you assume they are too fat for your store.

My mom and I came in today to get a prom dress and it seemed welcoming when we walked in. Until I started trying dresses on. A lady working there came to see how I was doing, which is understandable, however, she asked me when the dress was over my head so I could not respond. 4 seconds later, she really harshly says, “hello?” as if I was ignoring her. And then, my mom who’d been holding my drink outside the room, thought it’d be ok to put it down in the corner of my fitting room, far away from any of the dresses. The lady comes back and rudely says to my mother, “pick up the drink.” No please, no sorry, no nothing. And then to top it all off, I decided I wanted to put a dress on hold for the day so I could make sure it was what I wanted. So we tell this same lady and she comes around from behind the counter, and in her rude tone again, tells me they can only do it for an hour in case other customers want to try on the same size and because “they’re paying and you’re not.” I said I’d leave it because I didn’t like the tone of the employees at this store and walked out. Extremely shocked and angry about my experience in this store and will never be coming back. Treat your customers better, you lost a $500 purchase today.
