I like Michaels. It is what it is, a very expensive craft store.

Michael's is good if I need something urgently but the prices are so ridiculous I wouldn't buy anything otherwise ??♀️

Perfect place for DYI crafts and more. The prices are reasonable and I like that they have coupons.

Today my first time at this Michaels store and it will be my last. I went in with my infant who was in his stroller and asked a worker if she was free to direct me to an item. She sighed loudly, rolled her eyes, and said “I guess” ill-mannerly.
I politely said nevermind that’s okay I’ll ask another worker, and turned around. She then said no no what is it. So I said I was looking for a paint marker (this was to make a Father’s Day gift for my husband). Very rude, and I will always remember this experience each time we look at the art my son has made.

Review of Michaels Store #4917 - Appleby LocationI visited Michaels Store #4917 at Appleby on Tuesday, May 7th, with my five-year-old son. We went in at 15:04, hoping to have a pleasant shopping experience. Unfortunately, our encounter with one of the staff members, Tina, left us deeply disappointed and unsettled.Upon entering the store, I kindly approached Tina to ask for assistance with my purchase, as I was unfamiliar with the checkout process. However, instead of a warm welcome, Tina greeted us with a cold demeanor, angry expression, and a loud tone of voice. I initially brushed it off, assuming it was her usual manner of speaking. The situation took a turn for the worse when my son innocently tried to help me with one of the items on the counter. Tina responded by shouting at him, using aggressive hand gestures and a rude demeanor. Keep in mind that the store was empty at the time, and there was no background music to justify such behavior. My son, understandably, was scared and quickly backed away from the counter. I was shocked and more concerned with his well-being than anything else. I reassured him and offered to leave the store if he felt uncomfortable, as I refuse to support any establishment where we are subjected to such treatment. What baffled me even more was the response I received when I attempted to address the issue. Instead of acknowledging the inappropriate behavior of their staff member, the lady I spoke to brushed off Tina's actions, attributing them to the presence of other customers and background music. This response was not only dismissive but also insensitive to our experience. As a regular customer of Michaels, I have always appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. However, this incident has left me questioning whether such behavior is tolerated and condoned by the company. It is unacceptable for any customer, let alone a child, to be treated in such a disrespectful and aggressive manner.I urge Michaels management to take appropriate action to address this matter and ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. No one should have to endure such treatment while simply trying to shop at their store.

Be very careful about the level 3 "professional" canvases. They are terrible for the most part and out of 10 larger $60+ more than half have warped stretcher bars. I'm an artist with 15+ years experience and these canvas are the worst stretched canvases I've encountered. They're constantly discounted and it seems like a deal but don't do it! They are made by Michaels own brand artist loft and are not even close to being considered professional even for the price. Go to deserres or curry's for your canvases or stretch your own, you'll thank me later. 2 stars only because the staff are good. Furthermore I got a large royal langknickle brush and the bristles fall out, so safe to say I'm shopping elsewhere for my supplies from now on.

We go here on the weekends with my daughter and wife for the activities, great fun for the kiddos. Tessa is great with all the kids! They also have good deals in the main section and great after season sales.
