I had a great experience at Galt Chrysler Dodge!

My recent purchase of a pre-owned Pacifica led me to the local Chrysler dealership for what was advertised as a "piece of mind" inspection, following a recommendation after a routine oil change hinted at a potential valve cover leak. The expectation set by the dealership was a straightforward service costing $75, a reasonable fee for the peace of mind every car owner seeks.Upon my arrival at the dealership, I made it a point to mention the suspected leak, anticipating that such concerns were precisely what the "piece of mind" check was designed to address. The reception to my concerns was ok. They did not mention about any potential additional costs to do that check at the beginning. I left my vehicle in their care, trusting in their professional expertise and the promise of the service. The surprise came not from the findings of the inspection but from the invoice that awaited me - a staggering total exceeding $200. Surprised, I inquired about the significant leap in cost, particularly interested in whether a leak was discovered and needed additional parts or labor. The answer was as perplexing as it was frustrating: no leak was found, and the inflated cost was attributed solely to the act of inspecting for the mentioned concern.Confused, I pressed on the details of what the "piece of mind" inspection truly covers if not for the very peace of mind I sought from potential leaks. The service Advisor's (Doug) response was not only unsatisfactory but also dismissive, capped with a rhetorical question about expecting services for free; after all, I was under the impression that the service fee paid was for a comprehensive/ piece of mind check, including any leak detection. In an attempt to address my dissatisfaction, a small concession was offered in the form of a $25 discount, reducing my bill to $175. Yet, my question still remains: What did I actually pay for? The whole ordeal left much to be desired, painting a clear picture of a service that promises much and delivers little. This experience has firmly discouraged me from returning to this particular dealership for future service needs. Moreover, it has motivated me to share my story with others, advising caution and clarity on service coverage before entrusting their vehicle—and their wallet—to this dealership's service center.

I would like to thank Parminder for his excellent service with the purchase of our 2019 Jeep Wrangler. Right from our first phone conversation to the final purchase he was kind, courteous and professional. He made it a great experience and it was a pleasure doing business with him.Thanks,Nick.

I have been bringing my Jeep for service over and over again and it’s not always been good. I’ve given them lots of chances but this last time really took the cake. My Jeep went in for an oil change and as soon as I saw it in daylight (my husband took it in for me) I noticed a huge scratch on it. This scratch was not there before. I instantly called the service manager. I emailed her images and never heard back from her. I even gave her another email before writing this review and I got nothing back. Not even a denial email saying they didn’t do it. This was not there before I dropped it off. It was super fresh. I’ll have to start taking it to Guelph for service. Super disappointed.

I have a very bad experience with the Service on18 of December for my Jeep wrangler has a issue with a steering shaking. Well you guys inspected it and ordered a part that i was told. I was not informed any ETA for the part till now, I can’t drive it on highways you know its a holiday season and i also have to go with family to enjoy. At least you guys should have provided me with any other vehicle, as this has to be done under warranty/ guarantee. However i need it to be repaired so i went to another Mechanic he found no issue with Damper(the part that is ordered)So he fixed my vehicle and its running great now. No parts has been replaced or changed.Well i not happy with your service.

Be prepared before you go there ...If buying a vehicle, take the quote price from them in written, as in my case they just denied the price agreed at the time of booking. They say all lies during car booking to fix the deal and later dont keep the promise. For me, they didnt even provided the color promised citing stock issue, but earlier they said all colors available. The Sales manager Trevor, when confronted about this malpractice by his employee, simply showed his unprofessional side. When I pointed out that what rate was promised is not being given now, he walked away offering refund of deposit (knowing I will not go that way), but it was too late for me to deny the car as I needed it urgently and all my waiting time would have got wasted.Be very careful if buying vehicle here, hope you dont have bad experience as mine.

If I could do less than one star, I would. Second time I’ve brought my car to be looked at for an issue, it is a brand new Jeep grand Cherokee and it still hadn’t even been looked at. Vehicle sat at the shop for 8 hours with an 8:30am appointment and was not looked at at all.Never have been satisfied with the customer service at this dealership, whether it was buying a vehicle or servicing a vehicle.

Continued; sure enough I’m now told at 12that someone will look at the vehicle and call me back by 3 that they apologize and I am priority due to the constant telephone games, it’s now nearing 2:15 and I haven’t heard either of our phones ring.. sure it’s not 2 yet but I’m down one vehicle and my kids need to be picked up.. soo I call another Dodge dealership and they say not a problem bring it in and they’ll inspect it, patch it if I need temporarily and submit warranty and I can come back and get it done/replaced upon approval if I’d like.. wow, straight forward and simple.. sure enough..I call up the dealership asking to speak to service and Im hung up on..( I never mentioned this but it happened MULTIPLE TIMES)..Sure enough I’m sick to my stomach and heated at this point, so I go in and talk to the customer service kiosk and this woman at this point knows the whole story and has tried her best to help us get into contact with this issue even tho she has no relation to dealing with mechanical service.I simply say I’d like my key, that I’m very frustrated that this whole ordeal has gone on toooooo long, Cathy comes out, the service manager I believe.. is very nice to speak to and again I stated to her I’m frustrated that I just want my key and to go elsewhere. She states she didn’t want to do just a patch that she wanted to order the tires and someone looked at the vehicle not to long ago..I then state multiple times the last gentleman we spoke to stated he still hadn’t had someone to look at it yet and she insisted that the warranty papers just now need to be submitted…? Huh? So this couldn’t be communicated earlier? Why? Because it hadn’t been done..Anywho I explain the issue I had and state everything in this review , that I’m tempted to report the license of the mechanic and that he didn’t take the proper steps initially. She states she understands that, that she would like me to go to the back get my key and call me tomorrow with regards to the warranty work and that it will be approved. So now I go back, get my key and she makes sure the tires were pumped up.. I now double check asking, please at least update me in anyway even if the warranty doesn’t get back to you guys l, she says I definitely will and have a good night. At this point I explained I apologize on my expressed frustration I just figured a tire repair would’ve been a lot faster and less hassle. She admiringly is on my side states with a vehicle like that she would be too, Cathy dealt with this awesome and delivered what I wanted to hear… but was that only for that situation? Idk I trusted her and insisted I would come here to get the work done as she suggested and cancelled my appointment with the other dealer.. .But wait..sure enough I take off and go get my kids go for dinner, talk with my fiancée about fixing the other review AND…! my phone rings!! Wow a phone call from dodge…Hello is Colin there?I sure enough answer the phone, yes speaking who’s this?Oh it’s Doug/Dave whatever his name is from the dodge dealership service, some good news we received your warranty papers already and you're covered for new wheels of course.I reply Okay thanks. He states next: but I see you wrote a review about last weeks experience you had with us, so I’m denying your service, you can take the work elsewhere, brantford is close and don’t come back here. Hangs up.What an absolute trash or a representative, no people skills at all, he must’ve been the one last week that never notified the employee on my vehicle

Service department…Where do I Start, let’s start backwards. I am writing this now google review towards I believe his name is Dave??or Doug??as he called me to DENY my APPROVED warranty repairs on my wheels. I never had such an awful experience let alone service in my life to the point I Took my service ubefore he denied it elsewhere. Here is why;I initially took my Durango in for routine maintenance last week (oil change, check a sensor that stopped the vehicle abruptly and wheel rotation with possibly tire repair.) I noticed I was positive about one tire having something in the rear and to check the other rear as well that one before rotation. Sure enough I brought my vehicle in 10 minutes before my appointment time at 9 just to have the vehicle sit almost 7 hours without any update to when it will be done until I constantly called them, with being told multiple times someone would call me back in 5 minutes each time and no reply. Keep in mind I’m expecting a simple oil change and rotation + to let me know if they’re ordering new tires or to have them repaired.Eventually I received my vehicle just to be told that the mechanic wasn’t informed about anything other than an oil change and rotate the tires.. Let’s just ignore the part as a licensed tech you are to check tires that you rotate around a vehicle for weather cracking, uneven wear and tear or foreign objects.. only takes a couple seconds each tire as well..(then again keep in mind I noted the possibility of a puncture upon dropping the vehicle off).. said well I can’t leave the vehicle as it’s to late and their shuttle picked me up already.. I was heading home.Fast forward the next week to the appointment I Now made December 12th, I wake up that morning and find out the tire is now at 6 psi and the other below 20. Sure enough I have all the extra warranty and the extended tire warranty for run flat tires I say I don’t have time/not worth my time to bring the vehicle in myself so I have it towed in to reduce chance of ruining the run flats(even though I pumped the tires up as well).Sure enough we call throughout the day multiple times seeing if there’s an update or if someone can just inspect the tires to submit a simple warranty sheet so we can at least get the tires ordered or whatever... But.. nope, passed around like an old toy nobody wants, being hung up on service multiple times… this is just a tire repair! You’re telling me a massive shop that can’t even put a lube/tire tech on it to get the work rolling? It’s 5 minutes of work.. eventually we receive a phone call at 10 to 5:00 p.m that they said they will keep the car there and have someone check it out in the morning..frustratingly we say whatever as long as it’s first thing.. (oh by the way did we mention we could see the vehicle has been moved around the parking lot all day/the next day coming as well).Sure enough today December 13th we start the phone calls just to see if there’s an update and they tell us they may get to it today..? We state it needs to be looked at today, that it was supposed to be done last week and I explain everything this far over the phone.(again keep in mind These are run flat tires, take a picture and send it in pump the tires as they’re still holding air and have us return when you guys get them in!!) sure enough they say they’ll call us right back and have someone look at it.. again this happens every hour, obviously we are gonna keep calling back if they keep saying someone’s gonna call and we hear nothing.( I keep these brackets going just to justify facts, during all this I’ve mentioned to them I am 310T Red seal trained mechanic and I’ve worked on basically everything..) sure enough I’m now told(beginning of review attached to colin’s below)at the rest of our review is on yelp, to show we are legit we won’t make an account to finish off the review. this is not spam but to report an informed experience of the service department.

Complete disappointment is the easiest way to say it. Bought a truck there and never felt so dissatisfied with another car dealership ever. Never helped get anything running still trying to get ram connect that i have to subscribe. Lady on the phone couldn’t believe it. My advice stay away if possible more dealerships willing to step up and make you feel good about purchase. Shop around
