The manager Mariyam is bizarre. Bought a $170 cologne, opened it to realize the bottle had a manufacturing defect. Went into the store and she was not familiar with the return policy at all, had to go home to speak with customer service who said she should have just switched it for me - so after all that a very nice cashier just returned it without any grief, I think Mariyam needs some training. Never had a bad experience at Sephora until interacting with her. This store had shockingly bad reviews compared to other locations.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Bia an artist at this location. She gave me wonderful tips on applying eye, cheek and lip makeup. She was extremely knowledgeable, polite and just the sweetest person. She was so attentive and made me feel important and valued. It’s employees like Bia that shape the brand. I will be coming back!

Went in looking for a very specific perfume and face cleanser. The staff were very friendly and helpful in directing me to the exact items I was searching for. I’ll be returning to this location for more purchases.

I bought some items recently during a sale but realized the concealer I got was a shade too light. The product was untouched and not even swatched, but when I went in to exchange it for the correct shade they wanted me to pay the difference in price because the sale had already ended. I've never experienced such a horrible policy anywhere else.

My friend and I visited on 12th November afternoon around 2:30 pm. It was our first and sadly last experience. Usually we shop from Fairview ( with an amazing staff) location. Unfortunately we expected same customer service. We were looking for nice lipgloss. My friend liked one she tried from sample. And staff was behind us like we are doing shoplifting. I know it’s their duty but guys don’t make it obvious! Fairview people do their job best. When I ask one employee about nail paint she was very rude and replied we don’t sell nail paint here and her look was like you poor you won’t but anything ( you know when person scans you from shoes to head) I was really upset and told my friend to leave and finally we are happy with Fairview location. Your store needs new employees.

I had the pleasure of having a full face makeup done by Maddy. Maddy listened to what I wanted, not overdone, but a step up from my regular mascara, blush and Burt's Bees! She chose thoughtful products for my older "seasoned" skin. It was an hour of relxation and speaking to someone that truly loves her job and the company she represents. No sales tactics, which truly impressd me. I would definitely recommend Maddy for any beauty or healthy skin advice.

I attempted to return an item October 17. Although I had a receipt and order number, the cashier couldn't locate my order. An older Indian woman stepped in and informed me that I had purchased the item over 60 days ago when it was actually one week ago. No apology for her error. The woman proceeded to analyze my return with the ultimate scrutiny. Do you actually resell returned cosmetics? Makes me wonder after this experience. Won't be returning to this location based on the rude customer service. Looks like many other customers have the same opinions of this location.

I just left the store and the girl working at the front counter when I was paying was EXTREMELY rude for no reason whatsoever. Sorry that I didn’t want to buy anything that was on the desk on sale? But her attitude that she gave me afterwards was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. She should not be working in customer service.

Wasn’t a kind experience.
Me and my friend, as 13 year old girls, went into the Cambridge Centre Sephora for around half an hour around 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
We walked into Sephora and started looking at the items.
Please take note that there is a “Sephora Kid” Stereotype of 10 year olds buying expensive makeup and retinols, while being rude to employees. —
we are not like that. We were very polite and used swabs with the testers and be sanitary. We were being very mindful of our surroundings and our peers. We also made sure to be careful and not break or damage anything.
This specific worker there, named Joanne, who treated us badly and scared us out of the store with her unkindness.
She would stare us down and ask about our private information like where we’re from and why we want to buy stuff here,
when we were simply just curious about makeup and were experiencing girlhood, since we are young girls, of course.
At first, I wanted to test out the new “Laneige lip mask” with my friend, and she walked up really close to my face, and in a rude tone, asked me what I was doing while making a rude look at me, making me very uncomfortable.
Anxiously, I politely told her I wanted to try a lip tester.
She was very rude and she followed us around as if we were criminals, just based on our age and looks. She also asked more specific questions like which products and etc. She continued to stare us down and ignore us/walk off when we asked questions about prices of some items or shades.
When I purchased an item, she asked to see my receipt. I showed her the receipt and she let us leave.
I did end up purchasing something, but we left shortly after because she was mouthing us things like “leave” and staring at us.
It hurt me and my friend’s feelings, since we didn’t intend to do anything or even steal or be unkind.
She did not welcome us into the store and alienated us.
Shortly after my friend got an anxiety attack because she gets sick from stares easily.
Thank you for reading this.
Sincerely,
Mella

Similar experience to others: went in store in early September and they had no birthday gifts left, at all. I think the August birthdays really cleaned them out. So I've been looking online, but in addition to having to spend $$$ to qualify for the birthday gifts online, they also appear to be out of the online options. Really disappointing.
Also although the ladies who helped me were really nice, there were about 5 people standing behind the counter just chatting while I stood there before another employee alerted them to me.
Edit: As stated in my review, it will not let me select the options online either. "Buy online and pickup not available" for 4 options, and it tells me 1 is theoretically available in stores only. I'm not running around hoping that a store is stocked when I (and apparently others) have already gone more than once and they have been out.

Got 7 emails to come in a store to get my birthday gift. Came in a store on my birthday- and they sold out. What the point of advertising if they don’t have them in a store. Cashier didn’t even say sorry.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Sephora thanks to Gracy. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, taking the time to understand my skin type and undertone. Gracy's expertise was evident as she guided me to the perfect makeup products that matched my needs. Her friendly and knowledgeable approach made the shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend seeking her out for personalized beauty advice.
