They reduced the self checkout making it hard to shop there. I stopped off at the milton one on my way to mississauga. All the self checkout were operating with the hand scanner for heavy items. The have a special alert system if you don't scan before putting it in the bag to prevent theft. Why can't they all operate the same. That cambridge one is too busy at the peak times when not all the self checkout is in use. I think I will use milton one every time I hit the highway going east.

Completely unacceptable and unreasonable behavior by the staff.
Got kicked out 15 minutes before close into -20°C with strong wind while waiting for a ride.
Didn't know the 15 minutes before closing meant kicking someone out who is waiting for a ride alone in peak winter weather.
Nothing but disappointment

Dear Walmart Customer Service,
I visited your store today for groceries, and I would like to share some feedback. The cashier named Mona seemed quite rude and did not communicate politely with customers. I felt uncomfortable during the checkout experience.
I believe she may benefit from some customer service training to improve how she interacts with shoppers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Overall, their selection and prices are decent. They have just about everything you could want and their self checkout is a well oiled machine.
However, the reason I am leaving a low review is because they will harass you about credit cards if you have the misfortune of dealing with a human during checkout.
I was at the self checkout and the place was busy so all the self checkouts were in use. I wasn't buying too many things so an employee pulled me over and started scanning things directly. However, before I could pay they asked me about their MasterCard. I politely declined yet they kept asking. I had to decline about half a dozen times before they finally took no for an answer. I was very close to getting nasty with them.
I think it is very awful and predatory that just about every grocery store these days offers a credit card and all sorts of bonuses and incentives to convince you to buy one. I find it even more egregious when I have to decline more than once and it is upsetting to have to decline as many times as I did.
On top of the moral issues with this, the place was very busy and they should have been trying to get people through as quickly as possible. Harrassing people about credit cards and not taking no for an answer works counter to this.
I have always had a very neutral experience with Walmart but this experienced pushed it far enough to make me want to leave a review.

I had a groceries delivered to my home yesterday January 9 2026 and only received a quarter of what I ordered. I know this has happened to many people and the audacity and feedback I’ve been getting because I complained is unbelievable. People do not let the delivery drivers drive off without you checking your order first, take photos of everything. I did nothing wrong and yet I have to wait! Walmart needs to put this kind of situation first and have it dealt with immediately and the drivers need to be banned from receiving any orders from the store. Very poor customer service!

I avoid this place and only use self check out if I have to. They have atleast one female employee who likes to scan things and stick them under the counter when you are not looking then by the time you get home its to late they blame it on you if you go back and explain it to them.

Your grocery associate Aji that was working in the electronic area today around 12:00 was very rude. Why it took her 5 mins to help me get a product that was locked is beyond me. When I placed my product on the counter for her to scan, she picked it up, scanned it and literally threw the product at me and it fell on the floor.
THEN when I went to check out at the front with other items, you guys only had 5 ACTUAL people working at tills and only 1 self checkout open- the one by the produce and it was literally lined up out beyond the produce section.
If you’re going to have multiple tills, and self checkout areas at least open them during busy hours. I shouldn’t have to wait in a line for 15 minutes to pay for 3 things. ESPECIALLY when half of your employees are standing around and talking to one another with their personal cellphones out. Make that make sense.
Your management team needs to do better.

I was counting on Walmart’s delivery for my New Year’s Eve, but they provided incorrect info on the delivery timing. The delayed my order for 2 days, even having same day delivery pass which ended up ruining my plans for the holidays. It was really frustrating. Just sharing so others are aware.

Recently, we visited the Walmart location on Pinebush Road in Cambridge. While using the self-checkout, a representative approached us to promote a Walmart credit card. We clearly stated that we were not interested. Despite this, another representative approached us again and continued to pressure us to sign up, even after we declined multiple times. The interaction felt intimidating, and we were not allowed to proceed despite explaining that we were running late. Offering the credit card once or twice is understandable; however, repeatedly insisting after a clear refusal is unnecessary and results in wasted time for customers.

A young man in dairy named Colin (we asked him his name) was beyond helpful. He dropped what he was doing to help us. Very polite and looked in the back for the product we wanted. He apologized that there was none but suggested a similar product which we bought. We frequent this store in Cambridge at least twice a week. Most employees are not like this young man. He needs to be recognized for his expert customer service!!!

A lot of customers waited for over an hour and walked out empty-handed because the card payment system was down and only cash was accepted. The line should have been cleared much earlier
