“My folks knew Reg Gamble (both went to St. John's Presbyterian nearby) and my mother and my father's father were Scots that immigrated to Canada (grandad in 1925-1927 and my mom in 1960). I've also been thankful for Reg Gambles work for the Highland Games in Almonte and at Maxville. But particulary, my dad's family and my mother now reside the Auld Kirk. Reg, and this last month or so, Josh Gamble were helpful and Josh helped me with some of the required steps when someone dies (as I hadn't had to deal with that). I also appreciated him coming to the Kirk and saying some nice words to go with our sharing of my mother's life before and after my mom's immigration to Canada. All in all, I was quite happy with the assistance they gave to me. ONE NOTE: Email is sometimes slow or isn't responded to exactly immediately, but if you get Josh's phone, you can text him or take a call if you have any concerns. If I have the money, and we stay in the area long enough, I would plan to put my wife and I into the Auld Kirk. It just feels right. And I'm expecting a Gamble to be still in business to help when that happens.”
