Precision Cycle is aptly named. Dan knows what he is doing. I had 2 tires mounted and balanced for a fair price. Same day service with good communication. I will return.

I needed tires installed on a non-Harley bike (in fact a Vespa). I hung around and chatted with Dan as he installed them. I did a great job, taking care with the 12" chrome wheels. I really appreciated Dan's work and enjoyed chatting with him. Many thanks!

I was calling a few places to see the availability for a safety inspection and left a voicemail. When I got a call I wasn't sure who it was since I was calling few shops since not every place does motorcycle safety inspection and I asked "Sorry which location was this since I called a few places today" and he replies "Okay you can go to the other places then" with attitude and hangs up the phone on me without another word....If that's the response you get from just a phone call I can't imagine the kind of service he providesI rarely do these google reviews, but I'm just shocked from the response that I had to share.

Dan is extremely knowledgeable, humble, and helpful. All of my interactions with him have been great and I'm happy he's in the area. He recently helped me diagnose and solve a problem with my own bike and I'm so impressed that he didn't try to convince me to bring my bike to him at any point (and he was well within his right to do so), he just helped and asked for nothing in return. He treated me with respect and how I would have treated someone asking me for help. Dan you're a class act, thank you so much.

I did not get to see how knowledgeable the owner is, since he asked 50$ for balancing a wheel (removed, tire installed, stem changed etc.), so pretty much for 5 min of work. I found out that he is spiteful on people doing their own maintenance - which I did solely not to save money but to gain experience.

Very nice experience . Would recommend. Be aware that he mostly works on Harley Davidson bikes.

Precision Cycles is a one-man-home-based shop. Labour is $80/hr. This mechanic is knowledgeable with Harleys. My bike is running well, but my own experience as a whole wasn’t five star. Let me explain.I brought my bike here for the first time last week for a straight-up repair; replace stator and the oils. I was there for the first 30 minutes, where we diagnosed and checked the battery. In that time, he also took a call. 45 minutes later, he sent me a photo of the burnt stator - no other issues. I thought to myself ‘good news, 1.25 hrs in - I’m in good hands and on track.’My research had told me the stator was a 2.5 hr job + oils. The next afternoon, I got the invoice. Five hours labour, $400 - no breakdown. That’s 3.75 hrs or $300 more to install the new stator and do the other two oils. I was surprised and puzzled. Hoping he’d made an error (hot out), I kindly asked him to give me a breakdown. He just said “I rounded it out and did other things - that’s what I do”. He mentioned that my initial phone call was at the back of his mind when filling in the labour. (Weird I thought, even lawyers don’t charge for a consultation call). In any event, he didn’t communicate any details or outline the other things he did, on my invoice. However, he did write down that Harley would have tried selling me a Screaming Eagle part. I found this inaccurate and unnecessary, perhaps to justify for the (excess) labour. At $80/hour, I want to feel confident that my bike is being worked on without interruption. I had to accept what transpired but it didn’t feel right. My bike was last serviced at a HD shop in Kalispell, Montana, while returning home from a 13,000k trip. Some things had broken down. The service manager explained what I needed and how long it would take. I waited and when it was done, there were no surprises. That said, I would use Precision Cycles again but I would feel better waiting until the work is done. And if the owner (Dan) is invested in gaining my confidence, he should find that fair and reasonable, as I would rather write a five-star review.

I’m an experienced motorcycle mechanic and met Dan from word of mouth. Very knowledgeable and enjoy talking with him when I’m there to get tires changed out or picking up some Drag Specialities parts. Happy to know he’s in the area, saves me long trips to the HD dealer and prices are much more reasonable.

Contrary to the person giving a one star review who has never used Dans services and expresses his personal bitterness in writing a nonsense non review. I actually been using Dan from precision cycles for a few years now to service my Harley. Dan knows his stuff, he is respectful as a person and his work is excellent. His prices are fair. I trust him. See some people look for lip services. This is NOT what I want from my motorcycle mechanic or anyone for that matter. Be honest with me, be respectful and do your work well. Dan does it all. Fine stars highly recommended.
