I’ve been bringing my vehicle to Riviera Automobiles in Carp, Ontario, for over a decade now, and they never disappoint. From routine oil changes to more complex repairs on my older car, the team here always delivers top-notch service with honesty and expertise. What stands out most is their straightforward approach—no upselling unnecessary fixes, just genuine advice to keep my car running smoothly and safely.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and treats you like a neighbor rather than just another customer. Prices are fair, and I appreciate how they explain everything.
If you’re in the Carp area and need a mechanic you can truly trust, Riviera Automobiles is it.

My serpentine belt snapped on Canada day, so my family and I called the next day asking how far they are booking out. They fit me in the same day and fixed the issue so fast for a good price. Very grateful, as I wouldn't have been able to drive my car anywhere without it dying until this was repaired! Thank you!

I came here with big hopes for my RV safety but started feeling gross after I got a costly, but undetailed and vaguely described list of needed repairs (even asking for something more itemized).
I did a couple of the objective repairs myself with a certified mechanic friend (eg. Brakes) who was somewhat ashamed at the other more spurious repairs that were said to be required (eg. Exhaust work - check out my video for those who know how a muffler is hung). But in the end when I wanted a reinspection, they “weren’t sure” if they could do it in time following my repairs. I kept trying to be positive and fight the “gross” feeling, but at the 11th hour they failed the reinspection unless I did xyz with new parts and also furthermore they didn’t want to do the electrical with OEM parts.
At that point, right or wrong, I decided I was being played around with and I was done with that.
I went and got the keys, did the electrical with my mechanic friend, then my discouragement changed to joy as I finally found a great place in Osgoode that treated me like a valued customer and did a full inspection and safety without issue. They are also one of the VERY FEW who can do alignments on long vehicles with smaller rim sizes - I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Great communication from Tanya, for appointment and pick up. Issues clearly diagnosed and communicated by Rick. Overall strike me as very hardworking and honest people. Thank you Riviera.

Absolutely great to work with. Super communication and work is well done and on time if not before. We have used them for two motorhomes and they will continue to be our go to.

I have had three recent oil/filter changes at Riviera, two on a Kia Rio, and one on a Lexus ES350. The Kia oil was overfilled to 5 litres (it takes 3.5). Had to wait 3 days before I could take the car back to have the excess oil drained out (8 Dec 2022). This week the oil was overfilled again, this time 4 litres. I drained the excess oil out of the crankcase, using a vacuum pump, through the dipstick tube. My Lexus ES350 was returned with the dipstick twisted by 90 degrees caused by forcing it into the dipstick tube. If this garage cannot do a simple dipstick check after replacing the oil and not damage the dipstick there is no hope. I have had work done at this garage for over 15 years but no more. I will never go back.

They were a huge help getting my car safetied to get Ontario Plates back on after I moved from Alberta. The customer service was excellent and very honest- another mechanic quoted me over 2000 for the replacement part however Riviera was able to fix the part themselves instead of fully replacing, which saved me about 1800 bucks! Would happily return.
