One of the first times that I went in the Blue Box I was aloud to bring in my kitten and Lisa was extremely cool with it, she was awesome! Love the store and location to my house, it's super convenient!

I have been going to the Blue Box for years and generally enjoy my time there. Unfortunately, on more than one occasion since the new locations have opened, specifically the clothing one, I have had to listen to one of the employees, Lisa, complaining/bad mouthing and generally being really negative about another employee. It's upsetting to hear and honestly it's terrible customer service. People don't want to hear that kind of negativity ever really let alone when you're out shopping. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Great place! Prices are a bit expensive for the clothing but All though good place! Excited for new building to be rebuilt after the fire!

Went in for a visit just to poke around and wound up with a beautiful cardigan.
I noticed how all of the items were in great condition, and an incredibly reasonable price, and how friendly and helpful the staff were.
At a time when cost of living and buying clothes is expensive, even when some larger more recognized thrift stores are pricing things higher than what they were originally bought for, please do yourself a favor and stop in to Beyond the Blue Box!

Paid 16 dollars for a coffee pot it did say as is but I never had a issue at the old store water leaks out the bottom bought a brand new one for 14 dollars at Walmart the next day

These are two new locations of the thrift store, "Beyond the Blue Box": 41 and 55 King St.E. Cobourg. It is smaller than it was before but better than nothing.

They used to put books out for free but now they rip the covers off of beautiful art books, books on Astronomy, classic fiction, books on needle point and other craft books. Books on child-care and children's animal story books - all are thrown out into the garbage. Science books are throw-out this way also. I was told anything dated was thrown out. But science doesn't get dated....Meanwhile inside the store the manager could not find a science section. All those books presumably were dated.The covers are ripped off she explained so that the books could be recycled. I suggest please first recycle them to people who love and respect books and knowledge. Have a specific day each month or week whatever post it on your huge Bulletin Board so that people will know and will be able to rescue beautiful books from mutilation and the junk yard.
