So far this BMO has been far and above the previous one I have dealt with, my old BMO was always making errors with investment and various things and there were long lines, they were able to fix the error made by the other branch very quickly and there are rarely lineups at this location.

I am shocked I haven't reviewed this branch yet, but they have always given me 5 star service! I'd like to especially give a big shout out to Breton! She helped my dad before his passing as we were preparing for the inevitable, and then was a huge help to me after his death in handling the banking necessities. Yesterday, she helped me set up my own little portfolio, and she is as knowledgeable as she is friendly and funny!! (My apologies to staff and customers if our laughter was a bit loud!) BMO's relationship with my family spans decades with the same branch from my grandparents, to my parents and to myself!

All I wanted was an address. When you get your line of credit statement, there is an envelope where you can mail in your cheque to cover that month's payment. I am having my mail held for two months and needed that address in order to keep up my payments. It required three phone calls: 1 to the branch (who never got back to me) and 2 to different departments in BMO who had no idea what the address could possibly be. Gross incompetence. But I bet if i didnt make payments for 3 months, they would be after me. I will be sending the payment to the branch and pray to God they know what to do with it when it arrives.

Incompetent, inconsiderate, with a general lack of care for clientele. They are rude, will make no extra effort for you and treat customers differently based on wealth and affiliation. If you are dissatisfied with their service, fear not, they will make every effort to make your transition to another institution as long and drawn out as possible. Where should you take your money you ask? To Walmart, buy a shovel, bury it. These 5 star reviews are not genuine, most likely friends of people that work for them or paid reviews. That’s the BMO effect.

I recently switched from RBC to BMO as there was more opportunity at BMO for me. I met with Raychel and she was prompt, professional and most of all kind. It made switching over a breeze. Everyone at this branch was kind and gave off a warm welcoming vibe. It just left me smiling the entire time. If you have a question they get back to fast and help resolve your ussues quickly. I appreciate that. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Can you do minus it would be more appropriate? The most unpersonal and non understanding bank I have ever dealt with. While other banks reach out to customers during the pandemic NOT this one.This is or should say was a small business account. That was not allowed to be open on and off for almost 2 years and when we could be open supplier's weren't always able to provide. So instead of reaching out the Cobourg branch just closes the account and does not advise what so ever until we try to make a deposit.

Would give zero stars if possible. Zero customer service. Nothing but a bunch of dishonest employees, who will outright lie to your face. Employees are not trained and have no clue and will be dishonest and misinform customers. Avoid at all costs.

I have been a customer of BMO since 1992 and opened my first checking account at this very branch. I have never written a review of anything before but I had to say something as the service provided was unacceptable.Over the course of the last decade the service provided at different branches has varied as most do but has mostly been a negative experience. Tellers not knowing what their doing, placing funds in incorrect accounts, and overall rudeness.Having this kind of service across the board has slowly made me look at other banking options but the icing on the cake was when I went to deposit a check into my account at this branch. I waited in line as there was only one till open where the teller was talking with her friend.As the time went buy more conversations occurred about the weather and husbands, family etc..This isn't what made me upset just people talking about regular things. What did make me upset was there was no other till open and she continued to talk about things even though she knew I was waiting patiently.When her friend finally left I walked up to the till, placed my card in the machine and proceeded to tell her that I would like to deposit a check into my checking account. She looked at me and replied sarcastically in the tone as I annoyed her for interrupting her conversation saying "You know you can do your banking at the ATM right"...I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "you don't have to come up here to bank"....Truly unprofessional that she was more concerned with her friends life then other clients such as her job is.I am a very patient person but this kind of experience has tainted my views for BMO and its affiliated branches making me seek other banking options.

Terrible banking experience with BMO on multiple occasions. Come to BMO if you like banks that take advantage of loopholes to screw the consumer and make profit off of others suffering. Cannot certify a cheque from their own bank. I now have to pay a week of car rental, as I cannot pay for my new car until the money is released, so they make interest on my mone.
