We go to metro when we see items we need that are on sale. Like in the meat dept. Lunch meat porkchops etc. Store is very clean and staff are friendly.

Living in a small town options are limited. I visit this location frequently for my meat and produce. Yes the prices are higher but the produce is fresher and the meat higher quality.

Not sure if it’s their refrigeration or what but in 5 shopping trips I’ve had bad chicken, bad cheese, and now today, rotten salt pork. The best before date has months to go, but as soon as I opened the package it smelled bad and had a gelatinous cover on it.
It is definitely not my refrigerator.
Also, one time I was going through self check-out with a bottle of wine. It wouldn’t register so the staff went and got another. Once it was scanned the staff grabbed it back from me and said “I can’t sell you this wine” and walked away with it, no explanation. ??♀️

I ordered a cake for our small wedding reception. Just wanted something simple. Sheet cake with our names on it. We had a friend pick it up and when we opened it....well. I will let the picture do the talking. . . Luckily it was one of those "Its so bad, its good" scenarios and we all had a good laugh. We didn't expect much, but for $50ish dollars we expected something presentable. We had a friend redo the icing lettering and she decorated it nicely. Cake tasted as expected for what it was.
If I could give a 0/5 for presentation I would.
I give it a -10/5 for effort.
Lesson learned.

On way from London to Brockville, stopped in to find prepared food for lunch after getting gas. It worked well.

The delivery service rating of 1 is too high! Instacart is a terrible service! I don’t know how or why Metro would align themselves with an unreliable, untrustworthy company!
Being sick with the flu I had placed an order to be delivered at 10-11am time slot. It didn’t arrive and there was no email or follow up communication from them. Called the local Metro store and they couldn’t help so had to call the head office customer service. They had to call Instacart to find out where my order was. Turns out Instacart had ‘logistics issues’ and arbitrarily changed delivery to later in the afternoon without letting me know!?!?! What kind of customer service is this?!?!? Needless to say order was cancelled and had to make other arrangements to get food delivered - NOT FROM METRO. Can’t believe Instagram can still exist operating like this or why Metro would use them!!!

Nothing particularly special. It is a very clean, bright store as you would expect, but nothing particularly special. It has everything you would expect.

Metro is a great place to shop for deals. It can be more pricey but that is because they have a higher standard of products. I would advise to know your prices before going into metro and always keep an eye on what goes on special and how often.
Metro makes great pizzas! Way better than domino's and better price. I wouldn't recommend the panzerotti, they tend to under cook it.
