What's the point of having bank machines if they're locked inside during non-business hours, including ALL weekend? Cool piece of wood on the door, really makes you look like a financial institution.

Today my partner went in at this branch (as he has for the last 40 years) to cash his cheque.There was a Karen like woman as one of the tellers. Middle aged and extremely rude.She declined a service to my partner that he has been receiving there the last 40 years. Instead of listening, she dismisses him and sarcastically asked him what she would like for her to do.My partner then asked for the manager (Kimberly). Apparently she was now too busy with a phone call to talk with my partner face to face (even though the teller was just talking to her).Some customer service etiquette would go a long way for both these individuals. Was absolutely appalled by the blatant disrespect both of them displayed.

Definitely do not trust your money with Scotiabank. For the second time I'm having an issue with them where they have failed to comply with their own policies and acted in a way that prioritizes the institution's interests over that of their customers. You will lose money if you bank here. The financial advisor Lauren McQuoid and manager Kimberly King are incompetent and unhelpful. I've had accounts with two other financial institutions, CIBC and TD, for over twenty years and have never encountered anything like this.

I had a great experience opening new accounts with Joshua. He was handsome, professional and very knowledgeable and made the process a joy. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with him for all your banking needs!

Joshua the advisor was half an hour late to my appointment and made a promise he couldn’t keep which led me to make an unnecessary trip into town. Kaitlyn the teller made me feel very embarrassed, belittled, and misunderstood for reasons I don’t feel comfortable disclosing in a public review. The manager Kim also provided no assistance or solution. Instead of us talking to the manager, the teller ran back and forth from the front doors to her office. Even though I would have rather talked to her myself. Nonetheless, would not recommend going here at all. If anything, switch your bank. Just wanted to add, after posting this review, it appears they have made some changes to my account that I did not authorize and was not aware of.

I was under the impression that banks are a safe place for your money however this Scotia bank is one exception. Myself and my significant other have had the worst experience at this bank. The teller, KAITLIN did not listen to a word my girlfriend said to her and made a huge mistake on her account and then made her feel embarrassed in the bank, when we had only come in to solve a simple issue. The advisor JOSHUA was half an hour late to our appointment and then made promise of fixing our problem with their branch however he tells people he is authorized to make certain changes when he is actually not legally allowed to. When we came back to fix the mistakes they had made they had continued to make more problems without telling us anything.Do not bring your business here unless you’d like to get belittled and lose money.

Just switched my home branch to Cobourg. Very first interaction was the teller saying that the bank helping themselves to $500 of my money was my own fault and it was very generous of them to give me $100 of it back.Asked to use the washroom when requesting a home branch change and I was told "for customers only". I guess the hundreds of thousands of dollars in Scotiabank products I've paid for makes me chopped liver.No wonder everybody is going online and paperless. The problem was cleared up and I was refunded over the phone in 10 minutes by somebody in a call centre half way around the world.

Can't get a person on the phone from the branch! Just the national line and then endless loops of press this, then that, then leave a message! Pathetic!
