Highly recommend Showtime TV and Stereo Cobourg. I bought a TV, Aaron had it delivered as it didn't fit in my car. Then I bought a bigger one 2 months later. Aaron delivered it. Showtime has comparative prices, good service and is an honest retailer. I was treated withrespect.

I great local business selling top notch TVs! I personally own 5 of them from this store and they have all been fantastic! 2 of them have lasted over 5 years and are still going strong. My new Q80 is incredible, and the two I use in my business have been flawless. Highly recommended purchasing your TVs here!

Showtime also sells beds. I went in because they had a great big sale on beds. When l got there the show room had nothing in stock l was disappointed so l left.l have been in here at other times and it hasn't been to bad.

The store doesn't seem to have any stock unless you're looking for a matress. Plenty of those in store. However they do price match on all their T.V.'s and such. The owner is very knowledgeable about electronics and various products. There is absolutely zero pressure to buy. The owner (who is always there) is very nice and sincere. He genuinely wants to help you find the best product at the best price. Rare quality these days IMO.

I had been a customer of Showtime Video for many years, (30?) since they were located in Port Hope. Always satisfied, always enjoyed the experience. This week, for the first time since the new owners have taken over the business, I purchased a big Sony TV and Yamaha speaker system to go with it. Once more, a great experience. Erin the owner even came to the house to trouble shoot a connection problem I was having. Dave Black who actually sold me the gear knew what he was talking about and was very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend this store for great selection and friendly knowledgeable service.

Not overly impressed. They had advertised some blow-out pricing on leftovers, store demo, and apparently used audio (and video) electronics. I get there to investigate one such item that interested me, and the staff knows nothing whatsoever about any of it. I should have left at that point, but since I'd made the trip, I was determined to either get an answer or make the clown look pretty foolish. Suddenly, the guy in the back knew something, so the counter guy totes out a very dusty, very old item, which was the one and only item in that category that they had advertised. Turned out that someone (presumably an owner) had been enjoying it at home for several years. So I asked if it worked or not, the kid had no idea, but phoned his boss. I asked if it might be possible to see the thing in operation before buying it. Wow... what a major hassle trying to find out if it worked or not. No power cord, no patch cords, though he did find a beat-up pair somewhere in the back. No antenna wire, but we did prove that it did "turn on" at least. The asking price for this probably 10yr-old model was still a bit steep, and of course they wanted tax, but when the handwritten receipt came out, it had NO RETURN put on it. Nice to see they stand behind any sale they make. I wouldn't have expected a years' warranty on a 10yr-old Yamaha item, but they could have given 10 days or something, since they weren't able or overly willing to prove that it was in good working order. My feeling afterward was that I was the fool, and should have walked away, as there are plenty of used goods stores where one could find items such as this, but come with a 30-day warranty, so if you get it home and it ends up not being in good, working order, they'll stand behind their sale. I'm not saying that they don't stand behind all their sales, I'm just relating my first, and last impression of the place.
