Very out of the way, but so worth it. The access road sign is easy to miss (we had to double back to find it) and the road itself is 800m of bumpy uphill sketchiness. It's barely big enough for a SUV and it's the same way up and down, so better hope no one else is coming. That being said.. when you get to the top and park (maybe only space for 5-7 cars) and walk down the trail.. you find this amazing serene stream that leads to a waterfall you can almost touch. Travel down the trail and you can get to a point where it spreads out and has amazing rock formations. Truly beautiful.

Walking down to the falls was fine, but the rest of the loop trail was pretty awful. There was a ton of trees down that blocked the path. The path was very difficult to find, not well marked with flags, and completely overgrown. This trail needs a lot of work to get it back to normal.

Pretty falls with nice hiking trails. The road in is not in the best of shape but my microvan made it okay. LOTS of steps to get down to the falls - great place for some exercise :-) The reward is a set of scenic waterfalls. Added bonus is that it wasn't too busy despite the great weather. We only explored a few km of the hiking trails but will be back to check out more. Wear good hiking shoes with decent tread - this isn't your GTA hiking trail network. Be Tick smart. Tread carefully. If you see a photographer, don't step in front of them like a douchecanoe! Wait for them to give you an okay or walk behind them.

We parked at the sign and walked in, following suit of previous travelers, SO glad we did as gave us more time to enjoy nature. With moderate level trails, lots of beautiful moments its a good way to spend 1-3hours and something we will certainly return to.

Unfortunately, Gut Conservation Area is closed November 1-15, 2021 during hunting season. This was posted at the property entrance but not updated on Google. If the road to get there is any indication, the trail is probably gorgeous but I’ll have to wait until a future visit to find out.

A really nice river/falls await you, once you walk along the (not terribly exciting) trail. The road (just prior to the parking area) is in really rough shape. We parked out on the main road and walked in.

Lovely spot but the roads require fairly high clearance and good socks! And do be carefull of washouts o the way to the parking lot .

Beautiful place. The entry is kind of hidden... It will say private road enter at your own risk. If you drive a sedan or anything other than a truck or a high clearance SUV I don't recommend gunning for the parking lot. Instead park outside and walk to the parking lot.Waterfall trail is amazing. And you can go all the way to the bottom of the waterfall and do a circle we some serious ups and downs. My family and I really enjoyed both waterfall scene and the trail.

Beautiful waterfall and river HOWEVER there a snakes, there is no proper road or parking, there are no people, and an average person who knows nothing about hiking or the forest probably shouldn't go here. Also our car scraped the bottom so bad on the road as it is steep and with giant bumps. Trucks will be ok, but not for cars. Also if it rains your car is doomed.

An amazing little hidden gem. This place reminds me of being back in the Rockies. The access road can be difficult in a car and if suggest parking on the road and walking the 1km into the parking lot. A set of stairs leads you down to the river where it cuts through the granite revealing an amazing little gorge. Follow the trail downstream for more great views. Not many places like this in Ontario, worth the effort to get there.

Shocked at the negligence here. There is a difference between an unmaintained road and one that only off roading vehicles should use, I'm just glad I have a taller crossover because no sedan is making the drive in the area without damage. Even then I thought for sure I was going to pop a tire or leave some of my undercarriage behind. Serious lack of signage as well at visitors detriment. I'm amazed people don't get lost or hurt on these trails and there isn't any mention of these issues here or warnings on their website. I hike and camp a lot and this is a nice spot but I can't give more than 1 star because I'm so disappointed and I want people warned.

One of the most beautiful places you'll ever go. Apparently there are no trespassing signs posted now. I haven't been in a while but ignore any no trespass orders, just don't try to setup camp or anything like that aha.

Pretty amazing sights, make sure you dont miss the conservation sign on the way in, the road gets pretty sketchy after it.
