Although this store has a nice collection of clothes, I had a disappointing experience. When I went shopping, the salesperson kept insisting on bringing me clothes, and when I didn’t find anything I liked, their behavior suddenly changed. They became disrespectful and rude, which left me with a very negative impression. Good customer service should never depend on whether a person makes a purchase or not.

I’ve been a loyal Melanie Lyne customer for over six years, but my two recent experience at the Vaughan Mills location has left me completely disappointed. The customer service was not just poor—it was downright rude and seemed uninterested in helping, dismissive, and gave off the clear impression that customers were a bother rather than a priority.
As someone who has shopped at Melanie for years, I expected a level of professionalism and courtesy that aligns with the brand’s reputation. Sadly, this store completely missed the mark. After this experience, I will never return to Melanie Lyne—not just this location, but any of them. Loyalty clearly means nothing here, and I’d rather take my business somewhere that values its long-time customers.

I had a disappointing experience at this store due to the unprofessional behavior of the assistant manager, Maria. I came in last week to return a pair of pants I had purchased, and was met with unnecessary attitude and disrespect. Upon seeing me, Maria sarcastically remarked, “Oh, you're back doing your rounds again,” which felt both inappropriate and uncalled for.
For context, I initially bought the pants without trying them on. When I realized they were too loose, I returned to the store to try on a different size. Ultimately, I found that the fit wasn’t right for my body type and decided to return them. This should have been a straightforward process, but Maria’s comment and demeanour was condescending made it an uncomfortable experience.
For someone in a management position her behaviour frankly embarrassing. If this is the standard of customer service the store is comfortable with, I’ll take my business elsewhere — and I won’t be the only one.

My wife purchased a skirt from Melanie, and despite the fact that it still had the tag and the security attachment, the manager rudely accused us of lying and refused to accept the return, claiming the skirt was wrinkled. Could you please show me where in your return policy it states that an item cannot be returned if it is wrinkled? (Especially considering that the skirt wasn’t even wrinkled.)

I bought a skirt that had a defect, and even though I was supposed to be able to return it, the manager spoke to me very rudely and called me a liar. They refused to take the skirt back, claiming that I had worn it. The only reason they said this was because the skirt wasn’t perfectly ironed when I put it back in the bag after folding it. And I tried to talk it happened since I put it folded in the bag but she was ruder than even listen

I recently had a disappointing experience at the Melanie Lyne store in Vaughan Mills Mall, and I feel compelled to share my frustration.
I purchased a pair of pants three days prior and needed to return them because they didn’t match my top. The item was in perfect condition, with all tags still attached. However, when I attempted to make the return, the store manager was extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. She refused to process the return, claiming there was a stain on the pants—an absurd reason, given that I hadn’t even worn them. She further criticized the quality of the pants, suggesting that dust sticking to the fabric made them unsuitable for resale.
I then went to another Melanie Lyne location, where the return was handled with no issues or questions.
It’s disappointing that a store representing such a reputable brand would tolerate a manager who treats customers so poorly. This behavior reflects badly on Melanie Lyne, and I hope they reconsider their choice of leadership at this location. Customer service should be about respect, professionalism, and resolving issues—not making customers feel unwelcome and frustrated.
I would not recommend shopping at the Vaughan Mills location unless significant changes are made.

Terrible experience. The blonde Persian associate working there today (Jan 11/25) made me so uncomfortable with her ridiculous/ugly grin, staring at me constantly as I shopped. I walked right out. I will add, she was very friendly with the Persian client shopping, as they spoke their own language. What a pathetic experience, I'll never shop here again.

Excellent . Everyone was very helpful , great to show me items I might like or fit my style fibe. Helped me locate, an almost sold out item at another store and had it shipped to me . Finally, retail geared to helping the customer. Well done .

Manager at Vaughan mills was very RUDE !!!
Refused to return a dress I purchased a week ago .
Brought the receipt and all tags were on , perfect condition, never worn.
They mentioned to me not to take the tags out if I wanted to return it and I didn’t.
Because of my condition I wanted to try it at home to make sure I loved it and fit well since I had breast surgery.
Returned it a week after because my husband drove me .
Manager looked at it , saw her trying to pull the back tag off as she was inspecting it .She was talking to me facing her back and pulling the tag out .
Then said she couldn’t return it ,saying it was stitched. I don’t know what she meant with that .
Then she said it was worn ,making one excuse after another. I explained to her that everything looked perfect. Only needed in Mid July for a wedding.
All the tags were on ,impossible to wear it . Asked for store credit and still refused it . Even I mentioned to her I would by another dress instead.
It was more than 300$ and I can’t wear it because it hurts my breast .
I even mentioned to her my medical condition, no compassion at all . Never was treated like that at a store ,very disappointed.
Very bad customer service.
Not a good manager at all . Even rude to other employees. Needs to be replaced with a more pleasant manager.
Had a altercation wit her .Ended up leaving because I was so stressed and I was worried about my health. Never will by clothes there again and I don’t recommend it to no one.
Please be more compassion with customers and you never know what they are going through!

I shopped here for the first time yesterday.I was pressed for a dress I needed for an event, and so glad I stopped in. The sales associates were more than helpful, and I left with a dress I absolutely love. I wish I got her name, she went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident. I will definitely be visiting again. Thanks for everything.
