WOW. We are now part of the Toyota and Cornwall Toyota Family! After years of issues with our Nissan vehicles and the final chapter of a complete Transmission failure on our Rouge (a known issue with Nissan Vehicles for years with many complaints and class actions), one that, of course, Nissan and Nissan Canada refuse to do anything about, it was time to change! At the Toronto Auto Show in January 2023, where I worked as a consultant, I decided to research our next vehicle. I looked at everything but Nissan! Hyundai, Kia, and many others were all on the table.I came across the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. It was the choice should my Nissan need replacing. I reached out upon my return to Cornwall Toyota and, at that time, to both Tom Everson and Troy Hickman, the Dealer Principal. I was told I could wait for 1-2 years.Move ahead to this summer and my Nissan Rogue transmission failure! I go into Cornwall Toyota and speak with Marty Cayer, and he looks at his incoming list, and they had one on its way!! SOLD. It was meant to be!I can tell you from the beginning of the sale to the end, from Tom to Marty to Charlene, Vince, and, of course, Troy Hickman, that the experience at Cornwall Toyota was and is the best!We could not be happier having the 2023 Highlander Hybrid Limited now with just over 2000km. It is 910 lbs heavier and bigger by 12.6in! The Nissan Rogue sucked gas, averaging 12.5l/100km. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited is now at 6.2l/100km, Winter Driving! We use half the fuel on a heavier and bigger vehicle. The fit and finish, the quality build, no squeaks or rattles, and the ride quality are far superior to the Nissan! My wife and I said never again to Nissan as they do not stand behind their product and years of history at several dealerships arguing over warranty issues. I will note that all OEMs must give the dealerships warranty approval. So, I do not blame dealerships in any way. The problems over the twenty years we have had with our Nissan vehicles were with Nissan Canada, and why never again.Thank you to Troy, Marty, Charlene and Vince for the experience we had from start to finish. All of you made this expensive experience worth the price of the vehicle. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere at Cornwall Toyota is about being part of this unique family!Cornwall Toyota is the Number 1 Import dealer in Cornwall, Ontario, for a reason! The other OEM dealerships in the area need to take notice, as you are the example of how a dealership should operate and care for their customers.Stephen & Diane

I phoned and asked to speak to a sales person. They did not answer the phone very professionally or provide me with many details. They were suppose to get back to me. It does not give me great confidence in this place. I got a much better response from Kanata Toyota plus they actually have a vehicle in stock. I guess with all the high end rollers in Cornwall they cannot be bothered.

Heading in tomorrow to finalize my purchase.I went in June 2023 and purchased a 2023 Corolla.I was told 3-4 months.Ended up being 5 months. Not a big deal. Sales rep was pretty helpful. When I had questions he tried his best to answer them. What he never told me was that there’s a chance my order would end up being a 2024 model and the agreed upon interest rate and price would go up. I’ve waited 5 months and I need and want this car but now I’m gonna pay upwards of $1500 more for it. I really wish this guy (Marks his name) would have apologized to me and showed some empathy and even better offered something to ease my frustration.I’ll see you guys in the morning to finalize this purchase.I will not be back though.I will tell other people that they should be aware that your dealership may (after 5 months of waiting) change the financing rate and tell you it’s more $$$ then the original deal)You’ve ruined this experience for me.Shame on you.

Huge thank you to TomEverson for his excellent service! My husband and I had visited many dealerships in Ottawa and had no success finding a vehicle that fit our needs, or a salesperson we could trust.Luckily, we were referred to Tom who put us at ease from the moment we chatted on the phone. He was so patient, took the time to explain each option in detail. From our first visit to delivery we received 10 out of 10 service.A special mention to Katherine for her patience and expertise! Thank you again! We are thrilled with our new ride.

I had been working with an employee there about buying a car for about a month before Christmas. Got the quotes, and from the beginning I was upfront about being from Ottawa and told them why I wanted to buy in Cornwall. He had no issue and once I was ready to order in January he said I just had to drive out to sign a paper when I had the chance. It took me until February before I could go, but when I called and was ready to buy he said he couldn’t sell to me because I wasn’t from Cornwall. I asked why he didn’t make that clear over the past 2 months when I had been discussing this with him. He said nothing he could do, company policy. They won’t sell to you if you don’t live there because they make most of their money off service. I called Toyota Canada and while they had never heard of anywhere else doing that, they couldn’t help me because each dealership makes their own policy. I have checked with 8-9 other Toyota dealerships in smaller areas and in different provinces, and no one else has a policy like that. Clearly customer service isn’t their priority, they’d rather I go buy from any other dealership (none of the other dealerships in Cornwall have this policy except Toyota).

Brought my Tacoma to this dealership for oil change and service in Dec 2022 for an intermittent issue. They advised to return when they issue presented itself again without notifying me my warranty was expiring in 1 month. They are now refusing service on this issue and quoted me $900 for the repair since I am "out of warranty" by 2 months even though they were advised of the same problem during the warranty period.
