Saturday May 31, I was standing at the Bus Stop Brookdale and Cobble Hill, The bus was at 9:30 pm, was late a few mins, I was standing and the Bus didn't stop for me, and just kept going at full speed. Bus No. 3. I don't pay for a bus pass so that the Bus driver doesn't even stop for me

I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Cornwall Transit. While I’ve had occasional issues in the past (such as late buses and fare increases) my most recent experiences have been overwhelmingly positive and deserving of a five-star review.
Most of the drivers I’ve encountered are kind, polite, professional, and respectful. They consistently ensure I get on and off the bus safely and help foster a welcoming environment for all passengers.
The stop I use most frequently is located at Shearer Avenue and Beach Avenue. Recently, I’ve felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe at that location due to repeated negative interactions with individuals residing on the adjacent property. These encounters involved aggressive tones and rude comments that made waiting at the stop feel distressing.
When I reported this to Cornwall Transit, they took my concerns seriously, made me feel heard, and took steps to help ensure my safety. They also offered additional support if the issue continues. I’m truly grateful for how compassionate and responsive the team was in handling this situation.
Thank you, Cornwall Transit, for your continued commitment to keeping our community safe and supported.

Important things to note:
*There is no Sunday bus service
*Saturday Bus service switches to hourly after 7pm and ends early (by 11pm)
* Weekday bus service runs until midnight (which is odd given that most factories run 24/7 and make up approximately 20% of employment here. Retail and fastfood make up around 48%. Which might explain why we don’t have many 24 businesses here)
When I first moved to cornwall and I worked across town - I usually cycled because the bus that was supposed to come after my shift was always late and 90% of the time they just “skipped” finishing the run and parked and then completed the run for the next run time.
It wasn’t occasionally either it was all the time.
I will say Cornwall has made improvements to the service over time and it runs more efficiently now. They even have a transit app that tells you where the buses are.
I’ve also witnessed people getting double charged for fares when using their card.
Weekend service is ok but if you need to go anywhere on the weekend - bank on walking or taking a cab because transit does not run past midnight.
Don’t drink and drive! Just take the cab or have a DD.

I took number 5 bus and as I have tried to use card to pay which option is not available; however, I gave $10 and I had given day family pass without asking me. I did not have time to discuss more as they are doing there part but I felt that it is forced to given passenger day pass and rest amount went unclear. I am hoping that no other passengers go through same in future. Veuillez vous assurer auprès de votre équipe.

Would be really great if people were not allowed to smoke at the bus stops. There are people with conditions that the smoke could affect. No other city allows smoking at bus stops.

To all the Cornwall transit drivers that get people around our city and to and from work I salute you. These team members of Cornwall transit are in my opinion essential workers that many people depend on to get around the city , from the working class , to the mentally disabled and for that matter the everyday citizens of Cornwall Ontario. They transport all races ,all sexual orientation, all religions without the fear of discriminations . They are a again a essential service to our city. The core value of what our transportation people represent should mean way more than the bottom line of a dollar. They represent who we are as a city. That is what we should be talking about .I really think its an absolute absurdity that they can't get what they want and need In the current bargaining talks resuming as we speak .Rather than postposting constantly there should be immediate action and resolutions to accomodate Cornwall Ontario's fleet of five star workers. In closing this matter should have bin resolved a while ago . Why do we always have to threaten worst case scenario like a strike before a deal could be reached. As a long standing person of our community I have had the pleasure and expirence dealing with these drivers and I can say they are the reason why so many people have the opportunity to work and travel around the city . People depend on these five star drivers and that's all that should matter in the negotiations. Also how is it that the people paid to negotiate don't do there jobs when it comes to getting the deal done . How does that make our city look . They are the core transportation of our city. And I'll tell you how it makes you as negotiators look incompetent on the highest level. So please join me in saying give these people the deal they deserve and let's keep Cornwall s history intact because without them on the job it would be a major blow to the city transportation infrastructure and a great act of counter productivity on behalf of Cornwall.Give them what they want because it's the right thing to do . People matter more than money. They doo their duty now it's time for you as negotiators to do yours .You no me I'm the O.GJonathan Mayer Aka,Original Gamestir

The lady in the number 7 bus is extremely rude . I saw the bus coming right. And as i was tryna cross the road it was a red for pedestrians and 30 second light came on. Ik i shoulda been early but that doesnt give her any right to yell at me “i dont wait for you” and it is a really bad impression to us as I have seen her yell and misbehave w other old people in Brookdale centre, cumberland and second street. Yall need to check her out and teach her that we dont get on bus for free or anything. We dont pay for it to get yelled at.
