Food Basics is a typical, decent grocery store that is often insanely busy. It offers quality groceries at a reasonable price with a nice variety and a well-stocked selection. The store has a nice atmosphere with music playing and lots of parking. Most of the staff are super friendly, helpful, and efficient. However, some reviews note issues with their advertised lowest prices, stating other stores can be cheaper. A main complaint involves stock and sales; they sometimes promote amazing sale prices, like on extra lean ground beef, but have no stock, with items selling out quickly. Their policy on rain checks for sold-out sale items can be inconsistent. Another concern is their discounted produce, which is often already bad and should be thrown out instead. While generally good, some find specific items, like certain cakes, to be overpriced compared to nearby stores.
Found what I needed, easily. Did self check-out as only 2 items.
