Outstanding Hardware Store! Irene and her team are customer focussed and will go the extra mile to get what you need. My go to spot in Drayton for everything. I have had numerous special orders processed for me and they even set up a new griddle I ordered, no charge.
This store treats customers with respect and good old fashioned customer service...the way it used to be.
Well done Irene!

A woman followed me around and hovered over me which made me feel like a shoplifter after another employee had already helped me. Didn’t feel very welcome when there’s someone looking over my shoulder all the time, not to mention when I asked her a question she had a snippy tone. Would not return

Owner/manager of the store is very rude to both the staff and customers. I had a question about a product, and when I asked her for help she completely dismissed me. I also overheard her saying rude things to one of the staff because they made a little error on something. Definitely not worthy of the things she was saying to them. Completely unacceptable behaviour and I will not be returning in the future.

Owner/manager is extremely rude to customers and even staff. I will not be coming here again, as she publicly mistreats employees infront of customers.

All my comments are true and based on my experience in the morning of Dec 29th 2021. (See attached receipt)Worst shopping experience ever! Not honest at all. The woman at the store aerated the balloons with helium but she did a very poor job. She did not concentrate on doing this, instead, she was answering phone calls, running around and checking the aisles. We gave her nine balloons and she only gave back eight to us. I returned to her store and asked why. She immediately said there were only eight there. I asked her how come you charged us for nine balloons if you only got eight? Then she quickly gave me one floating in the air. On my way home, one balloon deflated and I asked her to aerate it she said no and she said my balloons are of poor quality. I never bought cheap stuff. Another balloon deflated in a few hours. She did a very poor job and she was very rude. She charged me $2.5 each for airing regular latex balloons and $5 each for airing foil balloons and she gave me those poor balloons! I will never come back to this greedy store with super mean employees. She took a quite tough stance when she faced my question even when she kept one of my balloons ( not sure on purpose or just being careless) I never had any issues with other stores with balloon aeration services and no problem with balloons I purchased at the party stores. The other terrible thing is that she did not even have her mask on properly(not cover her mouth and nose) when we walked into the store. She put it back when she saw us though. We heard she cough several times during her work. I didn't want to stay there longer for fear she has infection of virus and I don't think she follows the protocol all the time.I reviewed some local comments saying the family owned store is very friendly. Ironically, we got treated so differently and terribly. My speculation is that this is racial discrimination! If it is true, I would say this is the first time for me to encounter blatant racial discrimination in Canada over 15 years! What a shame!
