Safeway Dryden

Supermarkets , Grocery Stores
Hours: Safeway Dryden is considered the best grocery store in town, known for its fresh produce and quality meats, especially their steaks which are aged and highly praised. The store maintains a colder environment, helping keep items fresh for longer periods compared to other local grocers. It offers a good selection of groceries, including a butcher, bakery, and Starbucks, and is noted for being cleaner than many other stores. The staff are friendly, smiling, and often come from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations communities, with management showing professionalism and community involvement, such as supporting local events and organizations. While the prices are somewhat high, many customers feel the quality and service make it worth the cost. Some reviews mention the store's pricing as excessive at times, and a few note that certain areas, like the bathroom, could be better maintained. The store can be busy, and navigating unfamiliar brands or currency conversions can be challenging for visitors from outside the area. Overall, Safeway Dryden is appreciated for its fresh produce, quality meats, friendly staff, and community engagement, despite some concerns about pricing and cleanliness in certain areas.
