I just got a Langford canoe with some paddles for my cottage, it’s awesome. Already gotten compliments from the neighbours! They’re a bit jealous

Stopped here on my way through town, first time being through here with big truck and trailer, asked to use the washroom and was told no! They did direct me to nearest washroom although I barely fit with my trailer. If you are looking for sympathetic people then don't look here. I already had to pee twice on side of road and I'm expecting my period any time now so a BIG THANK YOU for nothing Langford Canoe, don't go here, nothing to check out.

Horrible customer service! I've emailed twice and received no reply. I tried calling their phone number several times and it just goes to voicemail. Not a very professional company no matter how nice their canoes are.

Langford Canoes are undoubtedly iconic, beautiful and high quality. I am currently enjoying the 16’ ultralight kevlar Ranger. The added stability , low weight and load capacity have been very nice for several multi day backcountry trips.I have been most impressed dealing with the owner Andrew. He takes complete ownership of his brand, sales, repairs, and customer service. I have witnessed his passion to assist customers including myself in model selection, minor repairs in a tight timeline and helping to sell my previous Langford Canoe. The new location in Mississauga / Oakville is very convenient for everyone in the GTA if they cannot make it to Dwight. Thanks again to Andrew and everyone at Langford!

I'm a multi canoe 20 year customer. I'm working with a sales rep named Andrew and I can't get my canoe. I call and text with no response. I understand busy but if you can't communicate with paying customers hand off the workload to someone that can. At this point I'm not sure if I want the canoe after this kind of negative experience. I've been told the canoe is built and ready to deliver. I have my doubts.

Steve knows canoes. After all. He has been working with them since he started helping his father in the business many years ago. Experienced canoeist or interested amateur, you want to stop in here before you commit to your next, or first canoe.

Very poor customer service. Family canoe went in for minor repair October 2021. We were told it would be ready in the spring 2022. We were told they did repairs during the winter as they're slower. Reasonable. However, almost a year later in August 2022, dozens of unreturned phone calls, no updates, etc. WE STILL DO NOT HAVE THE CANOE BACK. We have had to rent for our summer back-country trips at $50/day.The canoes themselves are great. No issues with the product itself. We could have had the boat fixed and returned on time at a different company OR we could have just put on an epoxy patch ourselves and been absolutely fine (that's how minor this damage was). I understand repairs are not their main focus - but then, don't take the repairs if you can't stick to the deadlines. Refer your customer elsewhere.

Must be out of business. No prices on website and they do not answer inquires.Update:Recently saw the response from Langford. Perhaps they should read the rest of the reviews where they do not answer emails or return phone calls.Anyway business is probably good so they don't care.Made my purchase elsewhere.

I recently had the opportunity in October 2022 to purchase two new canoes for my family and friends, for extensive backcountry tripping. We are experienced backcountry trippers and were looking for canoes that can do it all. After an extensive search we decided to go with Langford for the build quality and the historic connection this company has with Algonquin Park. We met with Steve MacAllister who was very knowledgeable and insightful who helped us pick out the right boats for our needs. We decided on two 17’4” Kevlar Prospectors. I would also highly recommend the accessories which included Carbon Gunwales, Interior Paint (easier for cleaning), and bow and stern skid plates. After a season of paddling and camping my family, friends and I all have fallen in love with these dream canoes. The streamline design raised deck and the overall build quality allows these boats to slice through the water and minimize energy input when the wind is against you. We found them to be very stable, with a full load: pack, barrel, dog and two adults, which contributes to amazing days on the water. When it comes to portaging, they are weighted precisely, and the weight was in the feather-weight category. A dream to carry.I would also like to thank Andrew who helped us with delivery and his experience throughout the process.Thank you Langford.

I dropped off my Langford Nahanni end of September 2020 for some repairs. It seems like the same issues as others, lots of unreturned phone calls and emails. Picked it up August of 2022 (yes, almost 2 years later!!). I won’t blame them completely for that though. I should have pushed more I guess? Come on, 2 YEARS?! It was the workmanship of the repair that cost $2005.00!!! I was told they would do something with the price but at pick up, they suddenly couldn’t. They repaired 7 cracks in what was otherwise a showroom canoe with barely a mark on it. They couldn’t even come close to matching the paint on the inside and put one coat of paint that had already started chipping before I picked it up!! Repair has bled through in one area even so I question the workmanship. So I emailed about my displeasure…..guess what?? No response. Save your time and money and buy elsewhere!!

Bought a 15' Prospector this summer... ordered in June, picked up Aug 5 in Dwight. It's beautiful, handles well, is very maneuverable. As a single woman I know I'll be easily able to manage this canoe on solo trips. The fellow who assisted me when I picked it up gave me a refresher on doing the lift, strapping it to the car, etc. He was very helpful and quite wonderful. During the purchase process I dealt with Andrew. He was also wonderful... easy going, knowledgeable, and helpful. This company is reliable, makes high quality canoes, and the staff are exceptional. Thanks very much Langford... I'm very glad I went with your company!

The entire process of purchasing our Langford canoe was great. Steve and Scott were very very helpful and guided my wife and I through the selection of which canoe best suited our needs. We could not have been happier with the service, the quality of our canoe and the overall help we received.Highly recommended! Many Thanks,Jim and Valerie Plewes

First off, Steve and Scott at the Dwight location were very helpful. My beef is with the other representative of Langford. I was initially charged a significantly higher amount than the advertised price for my 14’ Trapper. After being asked, and agreeing, to pay the full advertised price without a deposit (in April), I was told the canoe would be ready by early June. When I didn’t hear anything by that time, I started to inquire, and a series of unanswered emails/excuses began. By mid-July, I raised the prospect of legal action and received a response 23 minutes later. I was told the canoe would be delivered August 8 or 9, and that the Dwight staff had been instructed not to charge me for the roof tie-down kit I had ordered (and already paid for!) back in April. The canoe wasn’t delivered until August 18. Despite this very poor customer service, the canoe is superb, a true work of art, and a delight to paddle.

After extensive evaluation of all brands I can honestly report my Langford Muskoka canoe is BY FAR the best paddling canoe I've ever tested in terms of performance both solo and tandem. The team at the HQ in Dwight was very knowledgeable and courteous in their service. I witnessed them with other prospective buyers and it is obvious they are there to help guide and navigate people through the tedious process of determining what is best for them in a canoe and simplified the process immensely. My new Kevlar canoe is so amazingly beautiful I almost do not wish to use it for tripping but I know the durability and performance in tripping is what it is designed for. Incidentally, I also have a wooden Langford Huron for years now. Amazing paddling experience and so beyond beautiful- it is truly a work of art. Thanks to everyone, especially Steve, at Langford for all your expertise!J. McLeod
