“I walked over to pet value today with my dog as I do once a month or so. I always do have a good service there, but I tend to have exceptional service by one employee in particular. I feel terrible that I don’t remember her name but she’s a young lady that wears glasses and she was working today around 3 PM. She has always gone above and beyond for me and my big guy, and today was no exception. She seems knowledgable about dogs and has treated me and my dog great over the two years that I’ve lived up here in Elliott Lake. She’s pleasant, polite, respectful, knowledgeable, and everything you could ever want in an employee, or as a patron honestly. I’ve seen her even outside of work and she went out of her way to be kind to me and my dog beyond work hours. Being in the restaurant business, I’ve always been taught that service never stops just because somebody has paid their bill. They’re your guest and you are to treat them as such until they leave the building and also remain professional even outside of work hours. She has done that for me. I live a stones throw away from another pet store, and they’re great too! but I will often make the trip to pet value because of her service. Along with the extensive selection for Dog specific items, it’s a pleasant experience to take a walk over there and wander through the store and let him pick out a treat while picking her brain. The only “problem” is, I end up spending a ton of money when I go in there lol That being said, I’ve never once felt ripped off or like I overspent. I ask her 1 million questions and she always takes her time with me and makes sure that I’m getting products that I won’t regret. In the times that I’ve come in there and she’s been working, I end up spending more money yes, but nothing that I’ve ever purchased when I’ve dealt with her has ever been anything I’ve regretted. I have a English mastiff-bull mastiff mix, so I do need products that are lasting and durable, and I’m happy with every single purchase I’ve made with her. I spent nearly $300 there today but I really did get a lot for my money and I’m 100% happy with my purchases. I got a two Heavy duty collars for my dog. One prong collar, and one Martingale… Plus, one for my mom‘s dog, a couple of high-end treats (which normally last my dog no time at all) but she led me towards a bully stick and a healthy alternative to a rawhide bone… Both of which I’m really really happy with and a couple of Good qualitytoys for my mom‘s puppy. All of which were big decisions cause they weren’t the cheapest things in the world I could’ve gotten junk from the dollar store, but I’m so glad that I didn’t. Everything I got are things they were going to last us a long time.Treats don’t last long in this house normally no matter how durable they claim to be. But he has barely gotten through nibble of either of them and he’s been chewing on them since before we left the store. Money well spent! I would much rather pay full price for a quality product that’s going to last and be safe and durable than spend less on junk that will end up in the garbage within the hour. I’ve never had that problem with her guidance.I’m a waitress so I receive gratitude by tips when I’m working. I don’t know if that’s appropriate in a pet store but I really would like to make sure that she’s recognized for her hard work! I almost never leave reviews, but I wanted to make sure I did for her because she has done a ton for me and my dog and I’m beyond pleased with her service. I would hire that girl in a second!”
