It’s really the perfect blend of small town luxury. We appreciated the attentive staff who did so well anticipating our needs. We chose to dine in one of the cozy booths near the fireplace, which was the nicest atmosphere! Then decided to have after dinner drinks downstairs and enjoyed the water views. So much to explore here! Cocktails were on point and the food was satisfying and filling. It’s the place you want to visit every season of the year. See you in the spring!

The view and settings of their restaurant are unbeatable! Glass window overlooking the water is remarkable regardless of the weather. We went on a grayish day with some flurries and it feels like Christmas. Their food and beverages are fair, some dishes are better than the others, and there is some discrepancy even within the same cuisine. My favorites are terrine and beef goulash. But the service and staff are stellar. The town is just beautiful!

The atmosphere was relaxing with such a beautiful view, the staff was welcoming in such a casual yet professional manner. A great place to escape and loose track of time.I highly recommend Elora Mill and will return.Vegetarian options: The cocktails were a treat, cauliflower soup was wonderful and unique, chard mushroom pasta dish was so delicious and full of rich flavours.

My girlfriend got the Trout with Beets and around 4 hours after we got home, she had food poisoning and diarrhea. The Trout smelled overly fishy, tasted very bland and was way too pink in the middle and on the outside. After doing some research, we found out that trout is not supposed to be overly fishy smelling, overly pink on the inside or out and it’s not supposed to be mushy. All of those signs show that the trout was passed its shelf life, but I wonder for how long. When we arrived, we drove up to the gate to get a parking spot, as it had said that parking was included with our reservation. The man managing the gate told us that unfortunately the parking lot was full, which is totally understandable, but he then also said, “also, the parking lot is usually only for hotel guests… not restaurant guests.” Then gave me a dirty look… and pointed us to a parking lot far away from the restaurant. Our server would constantly ignore us and go to other tables while purposely avoiding ours. When he did come to ours, he sounded very annoyed and it was like he didn’t care. When our mains were brought out, the server spilled some of my girlfriend’s main onto the floor and didn’t apologize or offer anything for it. He just put the plate down on the table, shook his hand to get the food that HE spilled, off of his hand, then walked away. After coming to this restaurant in the past a couple times, this is definitely an experience that will never make me want to come back again. $200+ wasted in my opinion.Food 1/5. Service 2/5. Atmosphere 2/5.

Let me go straight to the point, I got food poisoning (vomiting and severe diarrhea) 4 hours after eating on 18 Feb 2024 night. My main dish was trout with beets. At first, when I tasted it, the trout smelled and tasted very fishy, the texture was mushy too. Trout appearance resembled salmon which was okay but the inside also looked a bit too pink. My boyfriend thought it tasted bland as well. However, I did not think too much about it since this was a high end restaurant which I trusted for its high quality fresh food. After doing some Google research, trout typically do not have a fishy smell or taste after cook, or should be very mild. If the texture was too mushy or soft, it was most likely that the trout has aged (spoilage) / very close to its shelf-life + undercookedI wonder if it was frozen...Came here for the celebration of my Anniversary and Valentines day with my boyfriend, and this was a very disappointing and painful experience. It does not matter the high end atmosphere or professional serving skills, if you cannot provide Safe To Eat food, this really is an alarming issue!Other problems:Scallops were too saltyCauliflower soup was under-seasonedPlate presentation (especially the trout with beets)Service

Very disappointed with the hostess.I made a reservation in advance on open table. I also called the Restaurant directly to confirm and to request a window seat. In addition, I modified the reservation to include the request. On arrival the hostess did not mention the request nor anything about not being able to accommodate the request and/or give us an option to wait a few minutes for the table to be ready. We were brought to our table, which was not only - not a window seat, but had the least access to looking out a window. I mentioned that we had requested and hoped we could sit by a window and pointed to an available table. She said she couldn’t seat us there since we were a party of 2 and the table available seats 4, but if something frees up they could look into potentially moving us.We did decide to leave.I’m incredibly disappointed as we drove 1 1/2 hours to get there, and have enjoyed many great meals and always enjoyed the service. The cherry on the cake was, as we were leaving I wanted to let her know why, to which she responded “oooooh well we were just about to move you to the table of 4.”Sadly, I’m thinking the management may have changed.

Overall, better than average food in GTA, great views, the place itself is right next to elora falls. If you come here for dinner, you will surprised to see the falls lighted up, looks damn amazing. Service is not up to the mark unfortunately. Fkr a place that charges premium pricing, hosts are still learnig how to get the order or the checks right. The town itself is great to walk around for before pr after your meal.

We returned for dinner again recently after three years since a brunch. My wife also ate at a wedding last year. The food is ok at best. This is not a steakhouse, Don't order the steak. I was told by my server that I shouldn't get my steak medium rare... Go medium instead... I asked for an old fashioned and the server told me to get a different drink instead that was not even close to an old fashioned, The meal took a really long time because they have an eat-in show kitchen that is more focused on presentation. The Knives! Why? Why? Why? - We were warned about cutting ourselves on their poorly designed steak knives that weren't serrated. I get it, sharpened knives are more impressive, If people have cut themselves on your knives because they lean the wrong way and their ergonomics suggest cutting with the back side... Get different knives. This restaurant is beautiful, the old mill atmosphere with the water is great. Go for brunch, not dinner.

Very beautiful place with great views. We did the tasting menu with wine pairings. Amazing Food and service! Just be prepared to spend $250 per person with this type of dinner.Wheelchair accessibility: If you park at the front of the hotel it's level no steps or curbs. Even parking at off site lot there isn't really any steps
