Really well designed, with lots of room to maneuver. Much better experience than a large grocery superstore.

I'm a local and beyond happy that we have a well-run, well-stocked grocery in town. I'm sorry to see the negative reviews and can only hope that management has dealt with the individual employee behaviours. While I am a local, I don't personally know the owner or any of the employees and am happy to say I've never experienced anything but the most courteous and helpful service.I am particularly impressed with the variety of products available in a relatively small store. The prices might be a little higher than at the large chains, though not always. Regardless, I'm happy to spend my money locally and support our community. The quality of from the butcher shop and homemade goods is exceptional.I am, and will continue to be, a loyal customer and supporter of our local grocery store.

A grocery store that’s not like a boring grocery store. We stopped in today to check this store out and loved how bright and spacious it felt. Very friendly staff and great selection of products from fresh produce to locally sourced meat…… the baked goods might tempt you, they look delicious (I maintained willpower)

A lovely local grocery located on Geddes street and a great alternative to Zehrs in almost any way possible. Geddes is leagues better than the mediocre grocery store that used to inhabit the building. Highly recommend

The produce on the shelves for purchase is not fresh, soft and in some cases rotten.

I made an attempt to shop at this market on a quick stop passing through from out of town. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even make it into the store because one of the employees decided to berate my husband and I about parking in the back parking lot outside of the store. I’m not sure if there’s some kind of event happening in town, but parking on the street today is extremely scarce. The employee let us know that the parking lot was for customers only, to which my husband responded no problem. She continued to explain, despite my husband assuring her we were going into the store. I noticed that other (non visible minority) folks who also parked nearby were not given the same speech, despite having a dog and obviously walking in the opposite direction of the entrance to the store. I pointed out the disparity to the employee, who decided to double down. I calmly let her know that her attitude was detracting me from going into the store. An elderly customer coming out of the store with purchases and saw what was happening and decided to come to the defence of the employee, yelling at me about being rude and encouraging us to leave as well. My husband and I at this point became visibly frustrated and decided it wasn’t worth the argument and got back in our car and drove away. Messaged received! We won’t ever be returning.

I’ve found my new favourite grocery store. I specifically love the flat bread, pasta salads, rotisserie chicken, pies, burgers and fresh produce. They make a lot of their food in-house and get a ton of produce locally. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming as well. You can’t beat the quality of food for this price! Also, it’s stunning and so clean inside.

Has almost everything you need — and more than you expected. Lots of great regional products for many types of diets.

We parked in the parking lot behind the supermarket to go grab a few snacks and a young woman who seems to be the same rude employee mentioned in the other reviews, ran towards us and saying I’m gonna tag your car, make sure you’re back within an hour because “I like towing”! That’s the first interaction we had with someone in this town which says a lot. Never coming back to this town and specifically, to this store. Employees are the face of your business and this one is painting the worst face possible of your business.

Hmmmm.....what would I do without Geddes Street Market?!! I love going there. There are so many nice choices. Lovely staff....and Deb and Alexis are always warm and friendly. Also... I'm vegan, and there is no place with more choices! If you live in Elora, it's nice and handy to zip over and not have to drive to Fergus ....ha! It's not far, but I love a small family grocer more than a big superstore. So...5 stars to all the good folks and great food at Geddes. Ohhh...and they make homemade lovely dinners for everyone's needs... and deeelish vegan baked goods. They even give HUGS! ?❣️? ?

I typically never post reviews but I thought I needed to speak up about this experience. I purchased a Guess Where trip in which our third stop was to visit Elora. My family and I love supporting local so we decided to visit this Street Market. My sister was taking awhile browsing and so my mom wanted to use the restroom there. While she was patiently waiting outside the bathroom, a blonde employee in her late 20s to early 30s yelled at us from across the store. We turned to look and saw her stomping towards us while speaking in a very aggressive manner. She told us that the washroom was staff only, so my sister asked if the other bathroom beside it was open. The employee abrasively asked if we had purchased anything and that restrooms were for paying customers only. She spoke slow and loud as if to imply that we did not understand. We understand that bathrooms for customers only is a common policy, however it was communicated in such a demeaning and condescending way that it was overtly offensive and racist. She then told us there is a public washroom down the hill and to go there instead.I am so disappointed that this is one of the first experiences visiting Elora and disheartened that my parents had to witness this as well. We ultimately decided not to purchase anything and left feeling shocked at this type of behaviour in 2023.
