The “Mermaid in Elora” is our favourite shopping spot downtown. It has an eclectic atmosphere with its varied selection of unique items. It is located in an old house built in 1869 so there’s lots of rooms to explore. You can spend quite a bit of time in there shopping. Definitely a place worth visiting.

We visited Elora for the day and were pleasantly surprised by the store.
Lots of high quality items for good prices, so if you ever are in need of a novelty door knob, knocker or latch this is the store for you.
We were also able to purchase a high quality leather wallet for 40 CAD. They also sell some nice looking leather bags.
Will definitely visit each time I come to Elora!

Can't say enough good things about this place. Staff was friendly. And the stuff... Omg.... It's amazing, I had the restrain myself like crazy to Not spend thousands in this shop. I'm absolutely in love with all of the products and uniqueness. This is going to be a mandatory stop for us now every time we head to our tobermory property!!

Beautiful and quirky little shops along the main street of Elora. Was very glad we stopped to check them out. Very unique finds. Would go back again, reminds me of the streets in the Hallmark movies.

Mermaid is one of my favorite stores! All the most interesting items and beautiful jewelry, and beautiful store front! Every time I get to go to Canada (I'm from Missouri) to visit my family, we HAVE to make a visit here!!

Loved visiting the Mermaid Store in Elora and finding some really pretty jewelry items. I can easily spend a whole day looking for treasures in that store… a bit pricey though!

fabulous decor store. It was a joy just to walk through this shop and imagine where I could put this or that item in my home. There were some very unique products.

If you are in the mood to browse a large selection of interesting and eclectic items, look no further than Mermaid in Elora.The shop carries a variety of interesting antiques, unique hardware, jewelry and other fun items (as well as some that are crafted locally).I have been to this store a few times and every time I visit I'm pleased with the friendly staff and the cozy layout.Prices are reasonable - and given the rarity of some of the items, justified in my opinion.If you find yourself in the area, you should definitely stop in! You will have no trouble finding something fun for yourself or as a gift for someone.
