Unpleasant experience.
I visited in person at 2 PM and was advised by Hakam to return at 5 PM. At around 4:30, he called, asking me to come right away. When I arrived, I was told to wait until 5, which I did. At 5, they brought a car in right in front of me, and the owner, a young woman, assured me she would take the car they had inside out and get mine in, as I had booked the appointment well in advance. I waited patiently, but nothing happened. Then I was told 5:30, which I agreed to again. At 5:30, Hakam said it would be another 10 minutes. I waited again, and by 5:40, I was completely frustrated. As I was about to leave, Hakam told me it would be just 5 more minutes. I gave them one last chance, but 5 minutes later, the car inside was still being cleaned, and they hadn’t even started on mine. I decided to leave.
To the owner: This is not how you run a business. Your word is everything to your customers. If you can't stick to it, don’t make promises. Additionally, it was disheartening to feel like I was treated differently because I’m not Indian. The car they took in before mine belonged to an Indian customer, which seems to be a common practice in that community. I’m Moroccan, and I normally hate when people discriminate against Indians, but this experience gave me a reason to feel otherwise.
Thank you. There’s another car wash just 3 minutes away—consider going there instead.
